Northwest Ohio Key Sophomores- Part 3
Kelley Baker, 6-1 Sandusky Perkins
Right now, she is very raw, but she is also one of the top defenders in her league. Kelley has great length and uses that with her timing and ability to use both hands to block and contest shots. She is also very athletic which means she can step out and defend guards on a pick and roll switch. Can finish around the rim with both hands and loves to run the floor in transition. Great court vision and will find the open player. Very coachable and has a high basketball IQ.
Sophia Niese Sophia Niese 5'6" | CG Shelby | 2022 State OH , 5-5 Shelby
Sophie excels on both ends of the court, and is active at the guard spot both with solid passes and quick hands on defense. Will crash the boards and despite her size, she is very solid with her rebounding. She is quick and aggressive and does a great job in attacking the gaps and hitting the open players. She plays big and has a high motor as a key leader for her team. High energy kid and will be a key asset for the Lady Whippets in the future with her leadership.
Kenzie King Kenzie King 5'6" | CG Columbus Grove | 2022 OH , 5-6 Columbus Grove
Kenzie is a talented point guard with an extremely tight handle and great shooting range. She is a gym rat that has a high IQ, distributes the ball well, and makes the right play. She has worked hard on her craft and has improved her ability to score at the rim as well as her midrange game. Smart player who plays years above her age.
Erin Kaufman, 5-10 Ottawa Glandorf
Solid wing who can handle the ball well and anticipate on defense. Reads the floor well, and can run the floor and lead the break, giving her team prime scoring chances. Aggressive player who utilizes her hustle to create turnovers. Excellent range out beyond the arc, and can put the ball on the floor to score. Can drop down low and defend a post, good body control to block shots. Will finish at the rim.
Devyne Eisenhauer, 6-0 Castalia Margaretta
Long and athletic player who took control of her role as a starter this year and has been very consistent all season. Often defending the top opposing post player, she has shined throughout the season against older and experienced players. Good hands and can catch and score with some decent range. Good footwork in the paint, can play through contact. Definite prospect for coaches to watch as she grows through her high school career.
