These teams will be constructed by graduating class and based on production and accolades this season, more than any other factors.
Let’s take a look at the PGH All-Ohio teams for the Class of 2020.
Player of the Year:
Madeline Westbeld Madeline Westbeld 6'3" | SF Fairmont High School | 2020 State OH – 6’2 Forward – Kettering Fairmont
Madeline Westbeld Madeline Westbeld 6'3" | SF Fairmont High School | 2020 State OH (pictured above) – was the lone Ohio hooper to earn McDonald’s All-American honors this winter. The Notre Dame commit led her Fairmont squad to the regional finals, before falling to Cincinnati Mount Notre Dame. Westbeld was named Ms. Basketball by the OPSWA and also earned the D1 State Player of the Year award. She averaged 18 points, 11.2 rebounds, 3.6 assists, 2.8 steals and 2.3 blocks per game during her outstanding senior season.
1st Team:
Sammi Mikonowicz – 5’10 Guard – Rossford
A double-double machine, Mikonowicz firmly established herself as one of Ohio’s top players during her senior season. Sammi averaged 23.8 points and 11 rebounds, while leading her team to 17 victories. For her efforts, Mikonowicz was named the D2 State Player of the Year by the OPSWA.
Katrina Davis was one of the state’s leading scorers. (Photo Credit – Times Leader)Katrina Davis – 5’3 Guard – Bellaire
Davis, by all accounts, was Bellaire’s coach on the floor during her past 4 years. The lead guard led her team to a school record 79 career victories during her time on the floor. The OPSWA D3 State Player of the Year led her team in every major statistical category this winter, including averages of 27.1 points, 8.7 rebounds, 2.9 assists and 8 steals. Many of our state’s top players will never finish their career with a single triple-double, but Katrina had 4 during her 2019-2020 campaign.
Destiny Leo Destiny Leo 5'9" | CG Eastlake High School | 2020 State OH – 5’10 Guard – Eastlake North
The Cleveland State commit was named the D1 Northeast Lakes District Player of the Year by the OPSWA, ultimately being named a 1st Team All-Ohioan for the second consecutive season. During her time at Eastlake North, Leo established herself as one of the top shooters in Ohio. Destiny continued to shoot the ball well during her outstanding senior season, averaging 24.8 PPG and leading her team to the regional tournament, once again.
Sakima Walker Sakima Walker 6'4" | C Africentric Early College | 2020 State OH – 6’4 Post – Columbus Africentric
At 6’4 – Walker is one of the country’s top shot blockers. Due to her length and prowess around the rim, Sakima gets labeled as a “post”, where in reality she plays all over the court. It is not uncommon to see the Rutgers commit grab a rebound and dribble it the length of the floor. Walker is one of the premier talents in Ohio – basketball fans would be lucky to see her play one more time, if the state tournament gets played. Sakima earned D3 Central District Player of the Year and 1st Team All-Ohio honors from the OPSWA.

She is headed to Cincinnati to continue her basketball career.
Corina Conley Corina Conley 6'0" | C Franklin Monroe High School | 2020 State OH – 6’0 Forward – Franklin Monroe

Santoro finalized her extremely decorated career during a senior season in which she was named 2nd Team All-Ohio by the OPSWA in D2 – her 4th All-Ohio nod in 4 years. Casey, a Kent State recruit, averaged over 25 points, 5 rebounds, 5 assists and 5 steals per game this year, ending her time at Bellevue with 2156 points, 373 assists, 436 steals and 248 made 3-pointers.

The Northeast-Inland District and Wayne County Athletic League Player of the Year averaged 18 points and 4 assists per game – while also shooting 47% from the field. Geiser – who is heading to play at Ashland University – helped her team to the first conference championship in school history.
Jenna Riccardo Jenna Riccardo 6'0" | PF Lisbon Beaver | 2020 OH – 6’0 Forward – Lisbon Beaver
Jenna is a rare player to finish with 1000 career points and 1000 career rebounds. She earned D2 1st Team All-Ohio honors from the OPSWA after averaging 21 points, 13 rebounds, 3 assists and nearly 3 steals per contest. The athletic forward was unguardable on many nights – scoring at all 3 levels.
