The Maryland Belles 2024 group has built quite a following. Coach Talen Watson took over the group in the fall after her work with the Belles 2023 group. This is an extremely long and versatile collection of 8th graders who will have immediate impacts in high school next season. They are the reigning AAU national champions in their age group and they also won the super competitive Made Hoops League.
Tatum Greene 6’1 Guard, McDonogh School, 2024
Tatum can score from all 3 levels. She is long and can defend positions 1-5. She has a sweet mid-range game and can knock down the long 3 point shot. She likes to block shots and is consistent. She is known as the quiet assassin. She has Power 5 offers and interest.
Kennedy Umeh, 6’3″ Forward-Center, McDonogh School, 2024
Kennedy is a strong rebounder from everywhere on the court. She can defend a wing or a post and has strong post moves in the paint. She finishes strong in transition and loves physical contact. She has several Power 5 colleges pursuing her already.
Khaya Carter, 6’1″ Center, John Carroll, 2024
Khaya is a good finisher around the basket. She likes to shoot the high post jumper and passes very well from the high post. She is an emerging force to keep track of going forward.
Talayah Walker, 5’9″ Guard-Forward, Good Counsel, 2024
Strong combo guard that does all the little things. She is a strong finisher in transition with contact, and has very quick hands on defense. She is a floor leader and has the intangibles that cannot be taught. She has caught the attention of several colleges.
Ayahna Gibson, 5’10” Guard-Forward, Good Counsel, 2024
A big, versatile guard that can play three positions. She passes the ball well in transition and knocks down the open jumper. She is a strong rebounder and finishes well around the basket. She has drawn attention from some big time schools already.
Madisyn Moore-Nicholson, 5’6″ Point Guard, Georgetown Day School, 2024
Madisyn has a high basketball IQ and makes good decisions with the ball. She can control a game without scoring and is a gritty defender. She plays with pace and knows how to find open spots by moving without the ball.
Kira Upton, 5’7″ Guard, St. Timothy’s, 2024
Kira is a long, athletic player with a great jump shot. Defensively she has good foot work and has very good end to end speed.
Cincear Parker, 5’6″ Point Guard, 2024
Cincear is a very good on ball defender who brings toughness to the team. She is an exceptional ball handler and strong finisher inside.
