If you find a player that can do all three of these things, I’m pretty sure they will have a wagon load of coaches ready to sign them and get them to college. These kids who play defense and can lock up there opponents are who we like to write about and see perform. ARE YOU A LOCK DOWN DEFENDER, these girls are in our opinion.
2021, 6’6, C, Troy HS, Endigo Parker Endigo Parker 6'6" | C Troy HS | 2021 State CA – Endigo is a long and lanky center with a numerous amount of skills, she showed us her soft hands and shooting ability from the midrange area of the floor, she used the backboard and also showed us her ability to block shots at a consistent basis. She has right and left finishing abilities and she is not afraid to mix it up with bigger and heavier post players.
2020, 5’9, SG, Oaks Christian HS, Taylor Donaldson Taylor Donaldson 5'9" | SG Oaks Christian | 2020 State CA : Taylor is a ball hawk, she is always pressuring the ball and running at her opponent to either contain or to make that crucial steal to get a run out on the other end of the floor. She is long and lanky, she can pick you really quick or poke out the ball as you go past her. Her defensive skill set if very good and we really admire the job she does on the defensive side of the ball. We believe she will be a big time lock down artist at the next level and it is one her best skills as a player.
2020, 6’1, SF, Long Beach Wilson HS, Samiya Terry Samiya Terry 6'0" | SG LB Wilson | 2020 State CA – Samiya is a player with great athleticism and leadership on the floor, she is the true leader on this team, but not always stated that way when they talk about Long Beach Wilson. She is battle tested and one of the toughest girls on the floor, she can score and defend and that is what coaches like, two-way players.
2020, 5’7, PG, Bishop Amat HS, Mia Ross – The teams true leader and solid point guard on the floor, she is fluid in many aspects on the floor, she shoots from 24 feet out with her threes from the right or left corner. She handles and pushes the ball and makes the clear pass to get them transition buckets. She is defensively minded and one of the better defensive player on the floor tonite in this game. Just like her whole demeanor on the floor, you could not tell she was either bothered or not, she was a warrior and got the win for her squad.
2020, 5’10, CG, Brentwood HS, Internite Reed – Another long and lanky kid with some real athleticism to her game, she shot the three ball, handled like a point guard and was one of the better defenders on the floor. She led the team in rebounding as a guard on the floor and also led the team in this game in blocks. What I liked about her game was her will to never give up and played hard as she could for her team, true competitor.
2020, 6’3, C, Eleanor Roosevelt High School, Ugonne Onyiah Ugonne Onyiah 6'3" | PF Eleanor Roosevelt | 2020 State CA – Is the most dominant big in the state of California and I believe she is worthy of a McDonalds nominee and most likely will play in the game from SoCal. She blocks shots with great timing and is one of better threats in the paint to score at all times on the floor. She works hard and no one has been able to match her drive and determination on the floor this year. (Committed to Cal Berkeley)

(University of Denver Commit) – she is very good, she has the size, the confidence, the skillset down low and also the sense to rebound the ball and push it like a guard. She was dominant in the post, she was dominant on the defensive end of the floor, blocking shots and doing any and everything for her team. Definitely a leader on the floor and showed it with each and every play she made for her team. Denver is getting a good one here.
2021, 6’4, PF, Harvard Westlake HS, KiKi Iriafen KiKi Iriafen 6'4" | C Harvard Westlake | 2021 State #11 Nation CA – All around athlete, highly athletic, very skilled, tenacious rebounder and just a menace on the court for anyone trying to guard her. High Major talent for sure, shoots the ball out to the free throw line, skilled with left or right over the shoulder post play. This kid is one of the toughest defenders as well and plays with a very high IQ for the game. Always makes the right play and is still growing in my opinion.
2022, 5’9, SG, Mater Dei HS, Soleil Montrose – She is an imposing guard that is very active on the floor, she can score from all three levels and she is also a great rebounder with her size. She impressed us with her defensive skills on the floor and her willingness to guard the best player from the opposing team. True defensive stopper in our book.
2023, 6’2, CG, Winward HS, Judea Watkins Judea Watkins 6'1" | CG Windward | 2023 State #1 Nation CA – JuJu is a problem, no matter what you throw at her, she is gonna find a way to get a bucket for her team. She is lethal getting to the rim, she can finish thru contact to get the hoop and the harm. She is a threat to score from all three levels on the floor and she is very skilled with the ball in her hands. Her defensive side of the floor is improving, this will come with age, she is the total package and has shown it all year long.
2023, PG, San Jacinto Valley Academy, Princess McCauley – This girl could score like no one else, she scored from all three levels on the floor. She had a pretty good jumpshot and could get to the rim and finish thru contact. She was a good rebounder and a heck of a player on defense as well.
