Here are the players who had starring roles in the instant classic.
Makayla Andrews Makayla Andrews 5'11" | SG St. Rose | 2020 State NJ , St. Rose: Simply put, the Lafayette commit refuse to let St. Rose lose. She scored 16 of her game-high 29 points in the fourth quarter and two overtime periods. Trailing by three with the season on the line, she drained a triple at the fourth-quarter buzzer to force overtime. She was the best player on the floor and in addition to splashing four threes, she also grabbed 13 rebounds.
Brynn Farrell Brynn Farrell 6'0" | SG St. Rose | 2020 State NJ , St. Rose: The Florida commit was in foul trouble throughout the game before finally fouling out late in the fourth quarter. That doesn’t mean she didn’t do her thing. She carried the St. Rose offense at times and her relentless attacking style helped her get to the foul line where she knocked down nine freebies. She drained four threes en route to 21 points and also pulled down 12 rebounds.
Abigail Antognoli Abigail Antognoli 5'6" | PG St. Rose | 2021 State NJ , St. Rose: Paul VI applied a full-court press the entire game and it was Antognoli who made the right read more times than not. The game was played at a fast pace and the point guard’s decision making stood out. Whether it was pitching the ball ahead or pulling up for a jumper, AA was brilliant with the ball in her hands. She finished with 18 points.
Abaigeal Babore, Paul VI: The senior sharpshooter saved her best for last, scoring a season-high 25 points in what was her final high school game. Her ability to shoot from distance keyed the Paul VI offense. She connected on six triples.
Hannah Hidalgo Hannah Hidalgo 5'7" | PG Paul VI | 2023 State NJ , Paul VI: The top freshman point guard in the state didn’t disappoint. She was a pesk on defense, got the ball where it needed to be, attacked the rim and splashed jumpers. Her future is super bright. Unfortunately she fouled out in the fourth quarter as St. Rose was building momentum. She scored 20 points.
