3A Quarterfinal: #2 Clear Lake (57) vs. Bishop Heelan (61) Box Score
Clear Lake came out hot early on as it seemed like they could not miss a shot from the floor. They finished the first half 9-of-13 from beyond the arc and had a nine point lead. For Bishop Heelan they could hold their heads up at the fact that if Clear Lake didn’t hit a 3-pointer more often than not it was a turnover. Clear Lake had 11 turnovers which was equal to the number of shots they missed in the first half. Bishop Heelan made it a priority to get it in the paint in the second half and were able to draw fouls to get to the line. They scored 12 points in the paint in the third quarter and made it tough for Clear Lake to get any momentum going. Bishop Heelan led for 22 seconds in the first quarter and after they lost that lead they never got it back until there was 1:16 left in the game. After a

4A Quarterfinal: #1 North Scott (40) vs. #4 Center Point-Urbana (32) Box Score
The first 4A quarterfinal game was a defensive battle as North Scott and Center Point-Urbana locked each other down. The score at the end of the first quarter was 7-7 and both teams didn’t have much more success in the second quarter as they went to the half with the score 18-7. Center Point-Urbana was defending the post entry pass very well early on and

had a tough time receiving the ball in the post. North Scott adjusted and started to score the ball a little better in the second half as they shot 80 percent from the floor. Center Point-Uraba had a lead early in the game by six points but it slipped away as North Scott was just too much.

4A Quarterfinal: #2 Glenwood (51) vs. #6 Lewis Central (62)
Lewis Central came into the game with a ton of momentum and a big crowd behind them and that carried them to a big win on Thursday evening. Lewis Central had been beaten by Glenwood two times this year already and it’s always tough to beat a team a third time. Lewis Central kept themselves composed and after a huge second quarter defensively they were able to bring it home. Lewis Central was playing very well as a team and had 15 assists on 20 made shots showing just how much they were moving the ball. They made some big 3-pointers and held Glenwood to their lowest scoring output of the season. It was a tremendous game for them and one that they needed to have to get to the state finals for these seniors.
