Here are the top stock risers who made a huge step this season.
Colleen McQuillen Colleen McQuillen 5'10" | SG Cresskill | 2021 State NJ | Cresskill
McQuillen finished the season as one of the top scorers in the state. She totaled 739 points in her junior season and averaged 25.5 per game. McQuillen knocked down 65 three’s and had 10 double-doubles. Her season-high came against Paramus Catholic where she finished with 41 points. McQuillen was incredible from the start and was consistent throughout.
Zanai Jones Zanai Jones 5'5" | PG Hudson Catholic | 2021 State NJ | Hudson Catholic
Jones was a true do-it-all point guard for Hudson Catholic this season. She averaged 18 points, 5.6 rebounds, and 5.3 assists per game this season. Jones led Hudson Catholic this season from everywhere on the floor. Jones notched a triple-double against Kearny with 22 points, 10 assists, and 11 steals. Jones is certainly a top-level prospect and will be one of the best players in New Jersey next season.
Caileigh Walsh | Gill St. Bernard’s
Walsh took a big step forward this season as a top option on Gill St. Bernard’s. The 6’4 forward proved to be a dominant force on both sides of the ball. She averaged 19 points and 11.7 rebounds per game this season. Walsh finished the season with 12 straight double-doubles and it brought her total number up to 22. Walsh also notched a triple-double against Hunterdon Central with 20 points, 12 rebounds, and 11 blocks.
Christina Dalce Christina Dalce 6'2" | SF Rutgers Prep | 2021 State NJ | Rutgers Prep
Dalce became a true force on Rutgers Prep as a junior. She averaged 13.4 points and 9.8 rebounds per game this season. Dalce was not a shooter from the outside but she was unstoppable down low and on the glass. Dalce was also able to get to the free throw line and knock them down with consistency.
Ariel Jenkins Ariel Jenkins 6'4" | C Stuart Day | 2021 State NJ | Stuart Day
Jenkins is already one of the top 15 juniors in New Jersey and she will move up next season. Jenkins has the chance to turn into a dominant player as a senior. She has the size at 6’2 and the skill. Jenkins averaged 14.2 points, 15 rebounds, and 4.5 blocks per game. She was already a force on both ends and the dominance could grow heading into her final season.
Jess Riepe Jess Riepe 5'9" | SG Marlboro | 2021 State NJ | Marlboro
Riepe made a name for herself as one of the top shooters in the state. She knocked down 97 three’s this season which was near the top of the Shore Conference. Her season-high came in a win over Freehold Borough where he knocked down seven three’s on her way to 25 points. She then accomplished the same feat against South Brunswick. Riepe will be a complete player for Marlboro net season while still being a top shooter.
