Aniya Finger Aniya Finger 6'0" | PF Hopewell | 2020 State NCFinger is a forward(class of 2020) for Hopewell High school in Charlotte, NC. Finger is one of the stars in Mecklenburg County as she was All District and led her team to the state playoffs. Finger initially committed to Arkansas St. but recently de-committed. What does that mean? Well it means she is a free to commit to any school that offers! She would be a welcome addition to most teams. She can score around the basket as she has good touch in the paint. Having said that, she can also take the ball from the elbow and create offense from there. Whether it’s a pass or a move to the basket, when Finger has the ball within 15 feet, she is a problem. I’ll also add, if you leave her alone around the 3 point line, she is good enough to nail the shot. Finger de-committing is big news and now is the time to get back in the recruiting race!
Braylon Milton
Milton is a rising senior guard for Independence High School in Mint Hill, NC. This is a huge summer for Milton as she will probably commit to a school later in the year. Without summer ball I want to make sure she stays recognized. Milton is an All District performer and led her team to the state playoffs. She is a scoring force who get baskets in many ways. She can shoot off the dribble, can shoot the stand still jumper and can get to the basket. She is a handful to deal with and she just keeps coming and coming. She is not going to relent and the game is never over until the buzzer sounds in dealing with Milton.
Jessica Timmons Jessica Timmons 5'9" | PG Independence | 2021 State #68 Nation NCTimmons is an All-State performer and the District 9 Player of the Year who plays for North Mecklenburg High School. She is a rising senior and hasn’t committed as of yet. Timmons is a scoring guard with ball handling skills and can shoot from anywhere on the court. She can score off the dribble and hit the stand still jumper. She is intelligent and understands the game. She defends well and works hard on that end also. She is quite possibly the best player in the state. She may commit this fall so there is still time to recruit her!
Taylor Henderson
Henderson is a rising senior for Myers Park High School in Charlotte NC. Henderson was an All District performer this season. Henderson is a fierce competitor. She is a guard/forward. There have been games where I’ve witnessed her be unstoppable. She has a motor and other players can’t keep up with her. She can post up, hit the mid range, handle the ball on the break, defend, literally she can do it all. She doesn’t get the overall recognition but she is one of the top 5 players in Mecklenburg County in my opinion.
