The 3A and 4A State Tourney hosted a range of college prospects that are still available for the next level and these are some of the players that stood out the most as unsigned seniors.
Top 3A/4A Unsigned Seniors:
2020 5’10 SG Tiarra Brown Tiarra Brown 5'10" | SG Bethel | 2020 State WA (Bethel HS) – A clear cut Division 1 athlete with natural ability to make plays on both sides of the ball. Brown impacted the game through her rebounding, hustle, ball handling and ability to score inside and out. One major improvement I saw from a year ago was her ability to not let previous plays impact her. She continued to play hard throughout and was a real standout as a First Team All-State selection in 3A.
2020 5’11 F Nicole Lindbloom (Capital HS) – Lindblom has put up some very impressive numbers throughout the high school season and it was great to catch her in person. She did not have her best game overall, but still managed to score 14 points, grab 9 rebounds and block a shot. Capital struggled against Shorecrest and would lose their lone game of the state tourney, but Juco’s, D3, NAIA schools and maybe even some D2’s could utilize her at the next level. She was being recruited by D3 and Juco’s leading into the state tourney.
2020 5’6 G Sahcari Davis Sahcari Davis 5'4" | PG Garfield | 2020 State WA (Garfield HS) – Davis looked healthy from a previous knee injury a year ago and played some of her best basketball of the season for the 3A state champions. In the semi’s, the unsigned senior came up with a big 14 points, 5 rebounds and 5 steals using her hustle to turn defense into offense. She also put up 16 and 19 in the previous games before that. Davis could really help a program in the NWAC if her conditioning is as good as it was in the 3A state tourney. An impressive run for the Garfield Bulldogs and Sahcari Davis Sahcari Davis 5'4" | PG Garfield | 2020 State WA was a big part of it!
2020 5’6 CG Emma Main Emma Main 5'5" | PG Mt. Spokane | 2020 State WA (Mt. Spokane HS) – Main had a couple colder shooting games, but she got going in a couple of the others as well, leading Mt. Spokane in scoring one night. Emma is a shooter and scorer who can play some one or two. She is a team player and competes on the defensive end. Several D3’s are currently after her. *Feature image
2020 6’0 F Julia Bordeaux Julia Bordeaux 5'11" | SG Bellarmine Prep | 2020 State WA (Bellarmine Prep) – A standout for the Bellarmine Prep Lions in their lone game at the Tacoma Dome! Bordeaux was tough and hit the midrange shot finishing with 16 points and 6 rebounds. She would be a really solid pickup for a small college due to her size and skill for the forward position.
2020 5’11 F Michael Pitts Michael Pitts 5'11" | SF Central Valley | 2020 State WA (Central Valley HS) – A player I have written about all Winter long, but she is still available at the moment. She is skilled, scrappy and quick to the ball. She has the ability to step out and hit the outside shot, or she can drive to the hoop. Pitts did not score much in the 4A championship game, but she is a winner and did lots of little things to help her team win it all. Schools in the NWC or GNAC could benefit from her ability.
