With that in mind, here are my 2021 All-State selections. Please note that I am only including players that I had the opportunity to see play in person.
Guard
Madison Ott Madison Ott 6'0" | SG Centennial | 2021 State TX – 2021 6’0 Point Guard (Drive Nation 17U EYBL) Centennial HS – Ott mostly operates as a floor general with good size for the position. She sees over the top of the defense and makes excellent decisions with the ball in her hands. The Centennial point guard reminds me of a dual-threat quarterback. She gives up the rock when her teammates free themselves up, but she knows exactly when to call her own number with a drive to the hoop or a shot from three-point land.
Guard
Paige Bradley Paige Bradley 5'9" | SG Bishop Lynch | 2021 State #95 Nation TX – 2021 5’10 Combo Guard (SA Finest) Bishop Lynch HS – Bradley knows how to find space and exploit holes in the defense on and off the ball. She possesses a good pull up game from mid-range. She is an unselfish teammate as well. Her willingness to keep the ball moving and accurate passing ability make her a coach’s dream. The future Longhorn has a great all-around game that keeps other teams on their toes.
Forward
Evie Goetz Evie Goetz 5'11" | SF Denton Guyer | 2021 State TX – 2021 6’1 Guard/Forward (HG Elite Watts) Denton Guyer HS – The TCU commit might be the best overall prospect I saw this past season. Her combination of size and skill made her a dominant player as a junior. Goetz can set herself up with mismatches in the post as well as out on the perimeter and is an efficient scorer from all three levels. She is a confident ball handler too, making her an absolute nightmare for opposing defenders. I can’t wait to see what she does as a senior.
Forward
Jada Malone Jada Malone 6'3" | PF The Village School | 2021 State #30 Nation TX – 2021 6’4 Power Forward (CyFair Premier) The Village HS – There isn’t much I can say about Malone that hasn’t already been said. The No. 1 ranked prospect in our 2021 rankings is a fearless defender with versatility. She is great in the paint defensively while also holding her own against smaller and quicker players on the perimeter. Offensively, the Texas A&M commit can score at will on the block when she gets going and can even hit jumpers when given room to do so.
Center
Mackenzie Wurm Mackenzie Wurm 6'3" | C Allen | 2021 State TX – 2021 6’3 Center Allen HS – Wurm moves well for her size and consistently displays good footwork. She has a solid collection of post moves that she utilizes inside and finishes through contact when frontcourts collapse on her. That said, she really shines on the defensive end. The soon-to-be senior big affects any shot in her vicinity and blocks a good portion of those. Furthermore, Wurm can dominate the glass at both ends thanks to her knack for anticipating and high-pointing rebounds.
