They are also not as robust as our normal rankings as there is a lot more information to come on the 2022 class over the next few years. That being said, there are already some standout players receiving a lot of attention at a very young age.
Darianna Littlepage-Buggs Darianna Littlepage-Buggs 6'1" | SF Classen SAS | 2022 State #24 Nation OK | 6-1 F | Classen SAS | @dariannabuggs22
This post player has our number one ranking for the main fact that when she is on the court, every eye is on her. The opposing team can try as they might, but she will get her points and rebounds. She is a big who runs the floor well. Littlepage-Buggs has an innate rebounding ability that belies her age. She can score seemingly at will on the inside and when we saw her last, she showed a nice jumper from 10-12 feet out. She also has the ability to bring the ball down the court if called upon and has very good handles for a post player – or any player for that matter. No player in the 2022 class was as dominant on a regular basis as Darianna Littlepage-Buggs Darianna Littlepage-Buggs 6'1" | SF Classen SAS | 2022 State #24 Nation OK . Perhaps this is why she already holds offers from seven Division-I schools and counting!
Myka Perry Myka Perry 5'10" | CG Norman | 2022 State OK | 5-10 G | Norman | @mykaperry
Perry is a very, very close second to Littlepage-Buggs at this point in our rankings. Perry has great size for a guard and absolutely ridiculous ball-handling ability. She seems to relish the chance to “break some ankles” and get her own shot. She has a smooth jumper and is no slouch on the defensive end either. A great all-around player who probably only misses out on the number one ranking at this point because of how rare of a talent Littlepage-Buggs is in the middle. With two more years to go – and an absolute love of the gym and a willingness to work hard that is already ingrained, Perry could very likely take over the number one spot before all is said and done. Perry received offers as early as her eighth-grade year and now counts a whopping 17 Division-I schools as suitors.
Destiny Smith Destiny Smith 5'6" | CG Edison | 2022 State OK | 5-6 G | Edison
At this point, with a few years to go until senior year, we could probably go ahead and label these three 1A, 1B and 1C. At the top of the rankings is a group of outstanding players and future Division-I stars. Smith is a tremendous athlete with outstanding natural talent. She does it all. Seriously. Defends better than anyone in the state. Shoots and handles the ball extremely well. Works hard the entire game. Oh yeah, add in the fact that she is an outstanding student and honestly it doesn’t make any sense that she does not have more offers than the other two players combined. It is coming, though. Just wait.
