Kaelyn Hamilton Kaelyn Hamilton 5'10" | SF McKinney North | 2024 State TX (Cy Fair)
Hamilton was just over the top at the 2018 Prime Time Nationals and so many intangibles just overwhelmed me and I’m thinking, how did I miss her. Well, thanks to the search bar on my website, I hadn’t and I was even more impressed with her progression after reading what I said. She’s going to make an impact in HS off the top, her energy anger d drive as well as how she drives and finishes says a lot. Nice pull-up in traffic, a solid rebounder, and defender
Keyera Roseby Keyera Roseby 5'10" | SF Liberty | 2024 State TX (Cy Fair)
Roseby should me I didn’t see a mirage at PassThaBall’s Super 60 because she did everything I saw and more. Her power and strength definitely give her options but watching her push the ball in the knowing how to play open court, under control, and going coast to coast numerous times for layups was an eye-opener just because of the way she attacks. Her ability to finish with contact, she rebounded over taller opponents and she plays defense, including reading it and knowing how to play that passing lane
Justice Carlton Justice Carlton 6'1" | PF Seven Lakes | 2024 State TX (Cy Fair)
Carlton falls into that “I didn’t have a roster” the first time I saw her so I didn’t stay yet the second time, with another team, I couldn’t leave because she simply showed early signs of being a dominant player. I haven’t seen her in over a year but she’s over the “magic number” now, that’s six feet and as fluid, as she was back then, well that and powerful, I don’t need a crystal ball to know what she has become. and that’s probably that dominant player I mentioned earlier because the signs were there and so was the desire
Lauren Danz Lauren Danz 5'9" | PF Fredricksburg | 2024 State TX (SA Lady Hoops) Fredricksburg HS
Danz is a throwback player, she plays bigger than she is and she sets defenders up smoothly. I haven’t seen a drop step like hers at this stage since Ashley Joseph now coaching HS and starred at Houston but Danz understands how to seal and get position in the paint, she rebounds over taller and more athletic players but that throwback mentality of boxing out, what I call a lost art is one of her masterpieces and she has many. Her upside hasn’t been touched, she goes after everything
Vivian IwuchukwuIwuchukwu is long and athletic, remember that’s the base and she’s close to 6’3 which probably makes her more of a post yet her wingspan and energy spells trouble as she can step out and defend on the perimeter, she plays the passing lane and she can handle the ball to attack from various angles. She has a soft touch around the rim yet she also can face the basket and score but watching her elevate and snag rebounds was overly impressive as well as her timing which enables her to block, deflect and alter shots
Nicolette Polocheck Nicolette Polocheck 6'0" | PF Memorial | 2024 State TX (Just Play) Memorial HS
Polocheck sold me last season, just on effort and size I knew she had plenty of positives yet the more I watched her mannerisms, how she reacted to certain situations, and her ability to do things instinctively, I knew what I was looking at. She finishes strong in the paint, she rebounds on both ends of the court and she defends well, very well and that’s either in the paint or outside but I guess the icing on the cake observing her attacking the basket as well as creating her shot
La’Niah Thornton La’Niah Thornton 5'9" | PF Pearland | 2024 State TX (Reps Up)
Thornton impressed me at a MS Tournament, again talent is everywhere if you know what you’re looking at yet the next time, the “it’s not what you do, it’s who you do it against” elevated her status as she still showed she could use her body inside, finish and rebound yet she attacked from the wing with so much power and finished over and over after contact that I just smiled and when she hit the outside shot, I knew she was going to be one of the household names around here
