#6 Grace Pyle Grace Pyle 5'10" | SG McPherson | 2021 State KS , McPherson, 5’10″ — Pyle led McPherson in scoring, rebounding, assists, steals and blocks. Making all-tournament of the 2020 Mid America Classic, McPherson Coach Strathman commented in a February 20 tweet “25 Mid America Classics and [Pyle] became the FIRST to ever place in the Top 10 in all EIGHT statistical categories. #2 Pts, Rebs, Blks, Asts, FG%, #6 in Stls, 3FG%, and #9 in FT%.” Pyle has a strong all-around game whose presence on the floor elevates the play of her teammates. She can score off the dribble and on the perimeter, handle the ball well in transition and against pressure, and distribute in the half court. Pyle is a very good weakside rebounder and plays four positions for the Bullpups. Pyle was selected as the 2020 5A Player of the Year by Sports In Kansas and Kansas Basketball Coaches Association (KBCA) 5A first team after being selected to the second team in 2019. She is also AVCTL Div III 2020 MVP averaging 15.9 points per game and was selected to 2019 Sports In Kansas 5A state tournament team. Pyle holds several offers including from Wichita State University and UT-Rio Grande Valley.

Photo by Robert Kelly.#11 Kylee Scheer Kylee Scheer 5'8" | CG Cheney | 2021 State KS , Cheney, 5’8″ — Scheer averaged 23.9 points (third in the state), 5 rebounds, 3.7 steals, and 1.7 assists. She shot 51% from the field, 71% from the foul line, and shot 35% from three with 73 made. In 2019 set the state record for scoring in a 3A state tournament game with 38 including 4/9 from three while also gathering 8 steals, 5 rebounds, and 3 assists. In 2019 she averaged 18.1 points, shot 33% from three, 4.1 rebounds, and 3.6 steals. Scheer is a quick defender with good off-ball anticipation, dishes and finishes well off dribble drive. She is also very fast with the ball in transition. While she has a slight build Scheer has good length and an excellent vertical on her jumper. Scheer is the two time 2020 Sports in Kansas 3A Player of the Year and is the 2020 Wichita Eagle 3A Player of the Year. She is also a two time KBCA 3A first team and Central Plains League first team selection. Sheer is committed to Emporia State University.
#20 Lauryn Dubbert Lauryn Dubbert 5'7" | CG Beloit/St. John's-Tipton | 2021 State KS , St. John’s/Tipton, 5’7″ — Dubbert averaged 20.1 points, 5.1 steals, and 2.9 assists in 2020 while also shooting 86% from the line. She transitions quickly with the ball and can finish strongly on either side of the basket with both hands. Dubbert shoots quickly off the pull-up, off a rebound, and on the catch. She also makes good use of baby hook over bigger defenders 6’’-8’ from basket. Dubbert was selected 2020 KBCA 1A first team after being named third team in 2019. She also was selected 2020 Northern Plains League first team.
#23 Claire Worthington Claire Worthington 5'7" | PG St. James Academy | 2021 State KS , St. James Academy, 5’7″ — Worthington is a strong shooter who set a school record for points in game with 34 in 2020. PGH Kansas’ Joel Webb describes her as having a “quick release with unlimited range.” In 2019 she had a hand full of 6 or more made 3’s and averaged at least three made 3’s per game. This season she set the school record for points in a game with 34. Webb also describes her as “a high IQ girl who leaves it all on the court,” is a strong ball handler, and a strong defender. Worthington averaged 12 points while shooting 50% from three, 4 rebounds, and 3 assists. She was selected as 2020 Eastern Kansas League honorable mention.
#34 Lili Shubert Lili Shubert 5'8" | SG Trego | 2021 State KS , Trego, 5’8″ — Schubert averaged 18 points, 6 rebounds, and 2.5 assists this past season. She also shot 74% from the line and 32% from three (40 made). In 2019 she averaged 15.4 points, 7 rebounds, and 2.5 assists while shooting 78% from the line. Schubert shoots quick 15’ and step-back jumpers and has 25’ three point range. She makes good use of head and shoulder fakes, is quick to the basket, and can split defenders on the dribble drive. Fast with the ball in transition, Schubert finishes athletically around the basket with contact, especially with her right. She was named to the 2020 KBCA 2A first team after being a 2019 KBCA 2A honorable mention and Sports In Kansas 2A all-state tournament team selection. Schubert is a two time Mid-Continent League first team selection.
#39 Megan Edwards Megan Edwards 5'7" | SG Blue Valley Northwest | 2021 State KS , Blue Valley Northwest, 5’7″ — Edwards is a fast, hustling guard with good bounce. She is a dangerous three point shooter off the catch with quick hands to get the steal and get it out in transition. Edwards has handles to create, create separation, and the ability to attack the basket with either hand. A solid perimeter defender, Edwards is a two time Eastern Kansas League honorable mention.
#48 Grace Eck Grace Eck 5'4" | SG Ellis | 2021 State KS , Ellis, 5’4″ — Eck averaged 14.9 points, 4.8 rebounds, 2.8 steals, and 1.5 assists in 2020. She also shot 32% from three (32 made) and 74% from the line. PGH Kansas’ Israel Potoczny described Eck as “an intelligent scoring guard who can handle the ball,…create…and get her shot off against taller opponents. She has good mechanics to her shot and connects from beyond the arc, the mid-range area, and around the glass in transition.” Eck is a two time Mid-Continent League first team selection.

Photo by Robert Kelly.#53 Kassidy Beam Kassidy Beam 5'5" | CG McPherson | 2021 State KS , McPherson, 5’7” — Over the summer of 2019 Beam put substantial effort into improving her perimeter shooting game. Her improvement clearly showed as she developed into a streaky scorer, averaging 14.6 points, and a dangerous three point shooter over the 2020 season. She has good speed, handles the ball well, and is quick defensively. Beam is a 2020 KBCA 5A honorable mention and AVCTL Div III first team selection.
#61 Sofia Semon Sofia Semon 5'11" | SG Gardner-Edgerton | 2021 State KS , Gardner-Edgerton, 5’11″ — Semon averaged 10.7 points and 5.1 rebounds after averaging 6 points, 2.6 rebounds, and 1.1 steals in 2019. She is a three point shooter with good ability to use screens to create shots. PGH Kansas’ Israel Potoczyn comments that she “…is quick with her dribble…can shoot from distance and…can finish through contact. he also states that with her size she at times plays “a point forward type of position that helps get the offense started.” Strong, she rebounds well, can take the ball end-to-end, and is a capable interior scorer and defender. She does have a tendency to not get under control and rush after a steal. She was a 2020 Sunflower League honorable mention.
#67 Kimalee Cook Kimalee Cook 5'5" | CG Circle | 2021 State KS , Circle, 5’6″ — Cook averaged 15.4 points, 2.5 rebounds, 3.1 steals, and 1.5 assists. Cook shot 44% from the floor and 83% from the free throw line. She has great strength, speed, good handles, the ability to stop and pop from three-point range. Cook was a 2020 KBCA 4A honorable mention and 2020 AVCTL Div III first team selection. Cook won the 2019 4A state 100m and 200m championships.
