This position has a lot of depth with a handful of players moving on to play Division 1 and Division 2 basketball next season. Each of these players have put together some outstanding high school careers and are fully deserving of their next level opportunities.
Top Shooting Guards:
The shooting guard position starts with Liberty High School’s Maisie Burnham Maisie Burnham 6'0" | SG Liberty | 2020 State WA . The 2b state champion and MVP broke numerous records for Liberty and took the school to heights it hadn’t seen before thanks to her relentless motor and inside-out ability at 6’0. Burnham is expected to be an instant impact player for Eastern Washington. Tyler McCliment-Call Tyler McCliment-Call 5'10" | SG University | 2020 State WA of University High School is about as skilled of an offensive player as you will find in this class. The future Portland Pilot can fill it up from deep, hit the mid range or take it all the way to the basket at 5’10. Checking in at number three is 3A first team all-state performer, Tiarra Brown Tiarra Brown 5'10" | SG Bethel | 2020 State WA . The 5’10 guard is strong, athletic and dynamic in the transition game. Brown will be playing with her older sister at Grand Canyon University. Next up is Nakia Boston Nakia Boston 5'9" | SG Lynnwood | 2020 State WA out of Lynnwood High School. Boston had a breakout senior year and played well enough to earn a scholarship from Portland State University, where she will play next season. At number five, we have 5’9 Aaliyah Alexander Aaliyah Alexander 5'9" | SG Todd Beamer | 2020 State WA of Todd Beamer High School (feature image). The future Eastern Washington Eagle can make plays on both sides of the ball and really excels in the transition game. Rounding out the top 9 is Jacksen McCliment-Call Jacksen McCliment-Call 5'9" | SG University | 2020 State WA (Portland), Riley Dykstra Riley Dykstra 5'10" | SG Lynden Christian | 2020 State WA (Western Washington), Mason Oberg Mason Oberg 5'5" | SG Union | 2020 State WA (Western Washington) and Rian Clear Rian Clear 5'11" | SG Pullman | 2020 State WA (Saint Martin’s).
