Roster
Marshaun Bostic 5’9″ Gateway STEM: The speedy 2021 point guard burst onto the scene last summer and gained a lot of Division I interest and some offers in the process. She is arguably the fastest player with the ball going end to end on transition. She is a tremendous athlete who also excels in track and field as a sprinter. Bostic averaged 14.1 points, 4.1 rebounds, 6.1 assists and 5.3 steals in leading the Jaguars to a district-championship game appearance.
Kyrah Brodie Kyrah Brodie 6'4" | C Rock Bridge | 2022 State MO 6’4″ Rock Bridge: The rising 2022 forward is one of the top young post players in the state. On a team full of talented perimeter players, she was the inside anchor for the Bruins’ Class 5 Final Four team. With her size and length, she has already established herself as one of the top shot blockers in the state. In the Bruins’ first meeting with fellow Mid-Missouri powerhouse Jefferson City, she blocked six shots.
Tyler Butler 5’11″ Belleville East (IL): The 2021 forward is a strong blue-collar performer who plays with a high motor and competes hard at both ends of the floor. She is a physical player who can match up against bigger opponents inside. As a junior, she averaged 12.6 points and 9.9 rebounds while shooting 48 percent from the field.
Jaiden Bryant Jaiden Bryant 5'10" | SF Incarnate Word Academy | 2022 State MO 5’10″ Incarnate Word: A versatile 2022 wing player who had already generated a lot of Division I interest early in the game. She is an athletic defensive player who is capable of guarding multiple positions on the floor. She averaged 8.7 points, 4.6 rebounds and two steals while making 35 percent from 3-point range. Bryant made a dramatic last-second 3-pointer to give the Red Knights a 57-54 victory over Ladue in the Class 4 state quarterfinals, thus advancing IWA to another Final Four appearance.
Jaliah Green 5’11″ Wentzville Holt: A versatile 2021 forward who is the glue to the team with her ability to perform several different roles. She has solid moves in the post against bigger defenders while also being able to step out and make 3-pointers. She is capable of guarding multiple positions on defense. As a junior, she averaged 17.6 points, 7.0 rebounds and 2.6 steals while shooting 42 percent from 3-point range.
Samiya Johnson 5’11″ McCluer North: A versatile 2021 athlete who can play multiple positions and also in the transition game at both ends. She can attack the basket with a good scorer’s mentality. As a junior, 13.8 points, 4.3 rebounds and 2.4 steals a game to lead the Stars.
Ariyahn Jones 5’10″ Fort Zumwalt West: The 2021 forward is a solid role player who helped the Jaguars win a Class 5 district championship this season. She is a solid rebounder who averaged five boards a game. She excels on the defensive end where she can use her strength and work ethic to battle bigger players in the post.
Vanessa Polk Vanessa Polk 6'2" | C John Burroughs | 2022 State MO 6’2″ John Burroughs: A talented 2022 post player who has already displayed flashes of dominance at both ends of the floor. She finishes well around the basket with both hands on offense, but she really excels as a rebounder and defensive player. As a sophomore, she averaged 13.1 points, 11.9 rebounds and 3.2 blocks while shooting 54 percent from the field.
Jasmin Rayner 5’7″ John Burroughs: A solid 2021 guard who passes and handles the ball well while playing with a high basketball IQ. She can also make the open 3-pointer to keep defenses honest. As a junior, she averaged 8.3 points, 3.6 rebounds and 2.7 assists for the Bombers.
NeTeonia Russell 5’7″ Lift for Life: The 2021 guard is a fine all-around performer who can defend and knock down open 3-pointers. As a junior, she averaged 11.8 points, 5.7 rebounds, 3.5 assists and 3.5 steals to help Lift for Life to a 20-7 record this season.
Sofia Tweedie 5’10″ Francis Howell Central: The 2021 wing is one of the best pure shooters on the team with excellent range on her shot. She plays well within a team system and is always in the right spot at the right time. She is an excellent rebounder from the guard position. She averaged 10.6 points and 5.3 rebounds while shooting 38 percent from 3-point range on a team that won a conference championship.
Saniah Tyler Saniah Tyler 5'7" | PG Incarnate Word Academy | 2022 State #43 Nation MO 5’6″ Incarnate Word Academy: The outstanding 2022 point guard has already emerged as one of the best floor leaders in the state in her first year as a varsity starter. She is an excellent on-ball defender who plays with a lot of toughness and confidence. She is at her best when the game is on the line as she will make the clutch play by getting a bucket or making the right pass. She averaged 11.8 points, 4.2 assists and 2.6 steals in leading the Red Knights to yet another Final Four berth in the Class 4 state tournament. She will be the next IWA point guard to head to the high level Division I collegiate ranks when she graduates.
