In your wildest dreams, you couldn’t have came up with a scenario where your career ended up better than Mainland forward Kylee Watson. The 6-4 forward, who is headed to Oregon in the fall, won gold with USA Basketball, scored over 2,000 points, was named Gatorade New Jersey Player of the Year and was selected to the Jordan Brand Classic and McDonald’s All-American Game.
Best season scorer
From a statistical standpoint, nobody was better than Jackson Memorial’s Kristina Donza Kristina Donza 5'9" | SG Jackson | 2020 State NJ . Nobody. The Navy commit was off the charts in her final high school season, exploding for 721 points (26.7 per game) and 227 rebounds (8.4 per game). She also knocked down 70 triples.
Best athlete
Immaculate Heart’s Anna Morris Anna Morris 6'3" | C Immaculate Heart | 2020 State NJ is a two-time Gatorade New Jersey Player of the Year in volleyball. The 6-4 forward, who is headed to Northwestern in the fall, is equally talented on the basketball court, scoring 457 points this season for IHA, which went 26-2 this past winter.
Best career scorer
St. Rose’s Brynn Farrell Brynn Farrell 6'0" | SG St. Rose | 2020 State NJ scored over 2,000 points in her career. What makes that accomplishment more impressive is the Florida commit reached the milestone in just three seasons. The brighter the lights, the better she played. Proof? She got loose for 32 points in a Shore Conference Tournament semifinal loss to St. John’s Vianney.
Best kept secret
Colts Neck’s Camryn Foltz Camryn Foltz 6'0" | SG Colts Neck | 2020 State NJ put together a strong season, even though she wasn’t recognized by all of the New Jersey media outlets. She averaged 20.4 points, including scoring a season-high 34 points against Northern Burlington. She also pulled down 6.2 rebounds per game.
