Northeast Ohio key 2021 players- part 2
Delana Brown, 5-5 East
Good floor general and can change the momentum of a game with her high intensity athleticism and aggressiveness. Active on the floor and can anticipate well and read the play, with speed to create havoc. Leave her open and she will beat you with the three. Great in transition and can finish.
Marissa Cave, 5-9 Girard
Quick guard with active hands, able to force turnovers and utilize her speed to create for her team. Not afraid to get physical, able to defend multiple positions. Can block shots and is a smart player on the floor. Sees the floor well and can distribute the ball for a better shot. Smart basketball IQ, high motor.
Adison Novosel, 5-11 Richfield Revere
Long athletic guard with solid handles, plays under control and can move well north-south in transition. Can get to the rim, score with either hand. One of her strengths is her perimeter game, she can shoot from beyond the arc. Puts the ball on the floor and penetrate past her defender to score. Moves well without the ball to separate from the defense, and has excellent footwork in the paint.
Sarah McKee, 6-1 Medina
Because of her length and athleticism, Sarah is a tough match-up on both ends of the floor. Has the ability to play any of the five positions both offensively and defensively, making her a matchup problem for most teams. As solid as they get on the defensive end, one of the top in that region.
Tejzah Brooks, 5-8 Akron St. Vincent St. Mary
Tejzah has a variety of basketball skills. She can do a lot with the ball, can finish, can post up, she’s long, athletics, can shoot, she can do it all. She was thrown into the fire this past season, moving her to the PG position, due to an injury and she didn’t blink. She is a natural scorer. She is unselfish and aggressive. Tejzah will continue to get better with time. Moving her to the 1 position, sacrificed some of her offensive looks, but it will benefit her future. She is the ultimate team player.
