Ally Carman Ally Carman 6'5" | C Red Bank Catholic | 2022 State NJ | Red Bank Catholic
Carman emerged as one of the top forwards, not in just the Shore Conference, but in the state. At 6’5, Carman was the focal point of Red Bank Catholic’s offense. She was a strong rebounder and shot blocker. When a double team came in the post, Carman showed her ability to pass out of it with ease. Red Bank Catholic will continue to be a powerhouse in the future because of their tremendous sophomore class.
Justine Pissott Justine Pissott 6'3" | SG Red Bank Catholic | 2022 State NJ | Red Bank Catholic
Carman handled the paint and Pissott was the force on the perimeter. She is a future Division I player without a doubt. Pissot knocked down 67 three’s as a sophomore. She could spot up from anywhere or create her own shot off the dribble. At 6’2, Pissott had incredible size and length on the perimeter which helped on both ends. She was a quick guard that could get up and down the court in a hurry.
Eniya Scott Eniya Scott 5'6" | PG Bayonne | 2022 State NJ | Bayonne
Scott was a stat sheet filler for Bayonne. She ran the show and did it effectively. She averaged 14.5 points, 5.8 rebounds, and 6.5 assists per game as a sophomore. These numbers will continue to go up as she has the ball in her hands more. Scott added 3.7 steals per game. She is a next level point guard right now and she still has two more seasons to perfect her craft.
Triniti Haskins Triniti Haskins 5'10" | SG East Orange | 2022 State NJ | East Orange
Haskins wasted no time setting the tone for her season scoring 31 points in the second game of the year against Johnson. This trend continued as she averaged 17.1 points per game and she did it from all over the floor. Haskins hit 29 three’s and 79 free throws this season. She did most of her work in the lane where she could score over larger defenders. Haskins had great size for a guard and was one of the better rebounders at her position in the state.
Erika Mercedes Erika Mercedes 5'7" | PG Union City | 2022 State NJ | Union City
Mercedes was yet another dominant scorer in the sophomore class. She showed it early on with 40 points against Cliffside Park and followed that up with back-to-back 24 point performances in wins. She grabbed double-digit rebounds in all three of those games as well. Mercedes averaged 17.7 points in her second season. Whether it was scoring, rebounding, assisting, or stealing, Mercedes was a huge part of Union City’s game plan and that will be the case over the next two years.
