These girls were able to use their size, strength, skill, and athletic ability to go out each night and fight for rebounds, giving their team a chance to win games. Here is the Class of 2020 and 2021 top 10 rebounders from the area:
Miette Veldman (2020) |5’11| Lord Botetourt
2019-20 Stats: 257 rebounds, 13.5 per game
Miette is a dominant two-sport athlete who uses her volleyball skills to go up and snag rebounds. She is an athletic forward who can get off of her feet, go up and get the rebound, jumping higher than other players.
Graceon Armstrong (2020) |5’11| Rockbridge County
2019-20 Stats: 226 rebounds, 13.3 per game
Graceon is an athletic center that uses her size to box out and dominate on the boards. She has good jumping ability, which makes it hard for opponents to get up with her.
Sierra Hubbard (2021) |5’10| Patrick County
2019-20 Stats: 186 rebounds, 13.3 per game
Sierra is a strong center who plays aggressively, she uses her strength to power through players to get in position to possess the rebound.
Malaysia Donaldson (2021) |5’7| Glenvar
2019-20 Stats: 205 rebounds, 10.3 per game
Malaysia is a forward who is a smaller player but is able to use her athletic ability and basketball IQ to get in position to grab rebounds. She is strong enough to rip the ball away from opponents if they don’t secure the rebound tightly.

2019-20 Stats: 185 rebounds, 9.7 per game
Savannah is an all-around forward who dominates on the boards with her athletic ability and length. She plays hard throughout the game, so its nothing for her to go up and be strong on the boards.
Shea Foxx (2020) |5’10| Galax
2019-20 Stats: 152 rebounds, 8.9 per game
Shea is a forward/center with high basketball IQ, she knows how to get in position to dominate on the boards. Shea gets many rebounds offensively and defensively with her athletic ability and will to go get it, playing with intensity throughout the game.
Lexy Nowers (2020) |5’7| Rural Retreat
2019-20 Stats: 161 rebounds, 8.5 per game
Lexy is a smaller forward who uses her size and strength to box players out and get rebounds. She plays smart, being able to be at the right spots to grab the boards.
Jacie Bennett (2020) |5’10| Grayson County
2019-20 Stats: 165 rebounds, 8.3 per game
Jacie is a strong forward who powers her way to glass, snatching rebounds from her opponents. She is really good at boxing out and getting in position to secure the rebound.
Cabria Mutz (2021) |5’8| William Byrd
2019-20 Stats: 160 rebounds, 8.3 per game
Cabria is a very athletic forward who uses her strength and athleticism to be able to jump higher than other players to get rebounds. She plays with intensity and constant effort to go after the long rebounds and secure them.
Zada Porter (2021) |5’10| Cave Spring
2019-20 Stats: 147 rebounds, 8.2 per game
Zada is an athletic guard who can do it all on the floor, she uses her high basketball IQ and athletic ability to jump and grab boards. Zada has the ability to get her own rebound if she drives and misses, going back up and finishing strong.
