Carleigh Wenzel Carleigh Wenzel 5'11" | SG O'Connor | 2022 State #51 Nation TX and Christeen Iwuala Christeen Iwuala 6'1" | C Reagan | 2022 State TX are among the top players not only in the state but the country, they fall into the “they are set” category as offers galore are there waiting for them yet there are players who are capable of playing somewhere all over the place and here are some of the ones showing promise from the San Antonio area
Karina Ortiz (Crystal City)
Ortiz is a combo guard that averaged over 20 points a game with along with 4 steals last season. She plays solid defense, loves to man up, and has good instincts on both ends of the court. Great Slasher and good 3 point shooter that shot 47% overall
Jada West (Brennan)
West has good size, she’s strong and athletic and loves to battle on both ends of the court. You can teach desire nor effort and when you throw in the fact that she’s around “the magic number” one more time, that’s 6’0, she will definitely is on the verge of creating problems
Leila Curtis (Steele)
Curtis showed me a lot at the South Texas Classic as she’s one of those players that just keeps coming at you and by that, on offense, she attacked the basket relentlessly using her athletic ability nicely to finish and on defense she did what I love to see, played the passing lane
Other players creating buzz from the 2022 class in the San Antonio area
