Emma McLean, Lakewood
Emma has a nice all-around game! Nice shooting form, with a solid mid-range jumper, and can shoot beyond the arc. Knows where to position herself to get good looks at the basket. Fills the lanes well on transition. Good ball-handling skills, with speed. She does the little things like boxing out, crashing the boards, feet always moving on defense. Definitely a girl to keep your eye on!
MaKayla Helms, 5’4 Buckeye Valley
A true point guard leader on the court! She has quick feet, and can put the ball on the floor, create a double team, and dish the ball out to teammates for easy shots. Her passes are outstanding, with zing to them! While she can shoot mid jumpers and floaters in the lane, she thrives on getting her teammates the ball, does anything to get points on the scoreboard. Solid defender and great handles, very comfortable with the ball. 100% team player!
Sophie Spolter, Columbus Academy
Sophie is all over the court, scrappy player, who is a pest against any defender! She is a scorer, can shoot well behind the arc. Nice mid-range jumper. Her steals and how she plays defense aggressively turns into easy points for the team. Has quick feet and anticipates where the ball will be, which leads to buckets. Crashes the boards well, and leads the fast breaks. She plays with confidence!
Gabby Daniels, Fredricktown
Gabby’s defensive mindset is fun to watch. She always seems to be in the right place, at the right time! Very good help-side defense, which typically leads to steals for her, and results to fast breaks. She is a strong player, who can throw the ball quickly up court for transition. She is a “all do whatever for the team” kind of player, some games she’s scoring 15-20 points, other games, she’s stealing and rebounding!
Rachel Meadows, 5’4 Lakewood
She is smart, high basketball mentality, knows when to shoot, when to pass. Good 3 point shooter, nice floaters in the paint, as well as mid-range jumper. Sees the floor well, and can drive hard to the basket for easy 2 points. Nice quick feet, solid handles! She sees the floor well, and just keeps getting better!
