Continue ReadingOver the course of the last couple weeks we have gone through and ranked each senior by position. Dozens of players have been ranked and a large majority of them are headed to play college basketball from Division 3 to Division 1 and everything in between. To see the positional rankings of previous articles you can follow the links for points guards, combo guards, shooting guards, small forwards and power forwards. In the final piece, we will take a look at the center position.
The clear number one is 6’3 Keeli Burton-Oliver Keeli Burton-Oliver 6'3" | C Eastlake | 2020 State WA of Eastlake High School (feature image). The future Arizona State Sundevil’s list of accomplishments throughout her high school career is quite long and there has even been talks of Eastlake needing to retire her jersey after leading them to a 4A state title, breaking numerous records and being a truly dominant player for four years. At number two is Mount Si’s 6’8 post, Sela Heide Sela Heide 6'8" | C Mount Si | 2020 State WA . A future California Goldenbear, Heide is the state’s tallest post player and made finishing around the basket extremely difficult for opponents in her four years at Mount Si. Her skill set has progressed each year and if she can stay healthy, she will be able to provide some quality defensive minutes for Cal at the next level. The number three center is Decatur High School’s 6’2 Ramona Jagger Ramona Jagger 6'2" | C Decatur | 2020 State WA . A Seattle U signee, Jagger is a high energy post player that has an improving skill set. She will be able to help Seattle U in the WAC as she continues to put it all together. Number four is Eliza Friend Eliza Friend 6'5" | C Overlake | 2020 State WA of Overlake High School. The 6’5 post is headed to play at Claremont McKenna College. She is a great shot blocker and projects as an impact player for CMC due to her size and work ethic to improve.
