At some point, everyone hopes to get back out on the court this summer, and these are players who continue to improve their game and look to make a move in the next PGH update in the fall.
McKayla Dunkle McKayla Dunkle 6'0" | PF Cadiz Harrison Central | 2022 OH , 6-0 Cadiz Harrison Central
She is a long and athletic forward with room to add some muscle to her frame as she matures and gets older. McKayla is a good rebounder who does a nice job of getting off of her feet around the rim, and is always around the ball. She can finish with both hands around the basket offensively. Reads the floor well, and can anticipate on defense.
Hannah Archer Hannah Archer 5'7" | CG Beverly Fort Frye | 2022 State OH , 5-7 Beverly Fort Frye
Hannah continues to get better everyday. She is a great leader and skilled in many aspects of her game. She has great handles, can push the ball and attack in transition. Can score either inside or outside, out beyond the three-point arc. She has a high motor and is a high energy player. Her stock continues to rise and hopefully she can get some games in this summer. Only one of two sophomores named first-team all-district in Division 4.
Jenna Carlisle, 5-5 Zanesville Bishop Rosecrans
Long point guard who anticipates well, allowing her to react and force her opponents into a turnover. Good handles, solid passer with the ability to find the better shot for her team. Does a nice job on the boards for her size. Can run the floor in transition and has excellent court vision enabling her to utilize the uptempo game and fast break opportunities. Named an all-district player this past season.
Emma Gilkerson, 5-6 Strasburg-Franklin
Blue collar player, can score inside or out. Has good range out beyond the three-point line, also strong enough to make plays around the basket. Good rebounder, can push the ball in transition and has good vision of the court. Reads and reacts. Versatile defender with a good motor. Her game should improve as she progresses, but she is definitely a solid one to watch already. She was honored as a third-team all-district player.
