Rebecca Phillips (2021) | South Hunterdon
Phillips was one of the breakout players in Hunterdon County this season. She knocked down 26 three’s on her way to 12 points and five rebounds per game. She led South Hunterdon in steals as well. the versatile guard showed a motor on both ends that was hard or her opponents to match.
Carole Anne Bredeson (2022) | Delaware Valley
Bredeson was a do it all guards for Delaware Valley as a sophomore. She knocked down 39 three’s and led the team in steals. Bredeson ran the point and set up her teammates in a position to score. She will have two more years at Delaware Valley to raise her stock even higher.
Jessica McLaughlin (2022) | North Hunterdon
North Hunterdon will be losing Nikki Alexatos from their team this year. This means that players like Kristen Newsome and McLaughlin will have to step up. McLaughlin finished second on the team in scoring and steals, behind Alexatos. She is a complete dua
l-threat with a high IQ on both ends.
Mackenzie Lalor (2021) | Hunterdon Central
Hunterdon Central will have their floor general back for one more season. Lalor is an agile guard with quick feet and hands. This helps her get in the passing lanes and turn defense into quick offense. Lalor can get into the lane and score among larger defenders on a consistent basis.
Ainsley O’Sullivan (2022) | Voorhees
Voorhees was an experienced team this season that will be losing some key players. O’Sullivan will have to take it to the next level offensively. She is already there rebounding and defensively. She is a handful on the perimeter for opponents. O’Sullivan was an elite level rebounder as a guard and this is something that is hard to find.
