For instance in the Charlotte Independent conference the class of 2021 is lead by Reigan Richardson Reigan Richardson 6'0" | SG Cannon School | 2021 State #32 Nation NC who already has multiple power 5 offers, and Breya Busby Breya Busby 5'4" | PG Charlotte Latin | 2021 NC who also has multiple mid-major offers. Both guards are extremely good and well coached, here are their peers in the class you should make yourself familiar with:
Neely Grace Tye: The 5’7 guard from Charlotte Latin is a streaky shooter, but when she catches fire she can light it up from downtown. She needs to get her footwork a little quicker to be able to become that more consistent threat from 3 point land, and with a new head coach who has worked with D1 players in the past she will have the resources around her. 6 different times she went for 3 or more 3’s this last season, I think she can continue that pattern and become a real threat from back there entering her last summer/season of high school ball.
Sydney Wood: The 5’7 guard from Cannon high school leaves her fingerprints over every game she plays in. She is a player who is going to do a little bit of everything during the course of a game. She can shoot it from 3, she can drive it into the paint and finish, she can find her open teammates, and she plays baseline to baseline on defense if that is what you need from her. On the season she had more assists than turnovers, and 6 times had 4+ assists in games this last season. She is a 3 sport athlete, who could find a home somewhere after her final high school season. She plays AAU for the Lady Attack Elite organization.
Mya Olmeda: The 5’4 point guard from Charlotte Christian is a feisty, get after it, type player. She is not afraid to drive it into the paint and take contact and finish or dish off to open teammates. She shoots it from deep, or can pull up. Both of which need some work, but she definitely has the quick enough release and range to become more consistent in both areas. She makes hustle plays, and tries to keep plays alive, she can save you extra possessions just by doing so. She plays AAU for the SC 76ers organization.
Zoe Edwards: The 5’6 point guard from Cannon high school is another player from here who does a little bit of everything to help her team succeed. She is a pesky defender who hustles to the loose balls and tries to create from it. She pushes in transition, she will pass up the floor for easy layups. She shoots it pretty consistent from deep, and knows when it is her shot to shoot. For her size and position she is not afraid to get in there and battle on the boards either.
El Ferguson: The 5’7 shooting guard from Providence Day School is just that–a shooter. She is the most consistent 3 point shooter on this list, and that already dubbed her on the 3 point shooters to know in the 2021 class list. She knocked down 54 3’s this season, which is far more than any other 2021 prospect in this conference. She knows her role, and she knows to get open and shoot it when she is open. She should be playing somewhere after high school for the sole fact she is going to get you 3 points when you need her to.
Anna Galloway: The 6’0 center from Cannon high school looks much closer to 6’3 when she is banging on the boards inside. When she puts her hands up and goes and grabs her almost 8 rebounds per game and is massive. She is more of a true bruiser down-low, and needs some work getting into better shape and getting those muscles ready, but she is a handful when going after those rebounds. 8 games this season with double-digit rebounds. She is a force in the paint.
