Sam Oase, ND Attack
Oase is a two-time all-state forward and arguably the best big in Class B. She’s proven herself to be a terrific finisher, rebounder and interior defender. The goal for her will be to expand her game as more of a faceup forward who can handle the ball, make plays and space the floor. Playing on a team with a number of guards who can get to the rim, Oase will have ample opportunity to showcase her ability to score from all over the floor.
Logan Nissley, ECI
Nissley is playing up several levels with ECI and after a terrific freshman season in which she showed the ability to do just about everything at a solid level, exposure against older and more mature players would be greatly beneficial to her development. She has the size, athleticism, skill and smarts to excel against any competition.
Rachel Dahlen, ND Attack
Dahlen is an intriguing player who will become something of a household name next year when she gets consistent minutes. She’s long, strong, athletic and skilled. She put up good numbers last year in limited minutes for a really good Devils Lake team and gaining exposure against quality competition on the summer circuit would be huge for her development.
Abbey Kubas, ECI
Kubas was a double-double machine for Dickinson Trinity last year and while she likely won’t be featured as heavily with ECI, she’s a productive interior presence. Playing with guards who can get to the rim and create offense will allow her to shine as a screener, rebounder, defender and finisher.
Walker Demers, 17U ND Pro
Demers is playing up several levels with the 17U team (which includes several other Grafton players) and while she won’t be a featured player offensively, the opportunity to play on a high-end team and at a speed that might be uncomfortable – but beneficial. Demers is one of the best interior prospects in the 2023 class and experience at the 17U level would only accelerate her growth.
Terryn Johnson, 16U ND Pro
Johnson was an all-state forward for Kindred last year, showing a strong ability to finish around the rim and defend in the paint. As is the case with every post on this list, playing against higher quality competition on a regular basis would be huge for her development.
