I am going to give you a look at some of the players that I expect to shoot the ball with great consistency, especially from the 3-Pt line throughout the rest of their High School careers.
- McCall King McCall King 5'11" | SG Christ Church | 2022 State SC – 5’11” – Christ Church School – The 2019-20 season was an outstanding performance for King and the Christ Church team. She averaged a career high 17.3 Pts – 6.1 Reb – while leading the program to their second consecutive appearance in the SCHSL AA Championship game. The team finished the season 23 – 6 and McCall contributed 59 3-Ptrs along the way, she also scored 1,000 High School points. College coaches who haven’t seen her play, should make their way to Christ Church to see McCall’s entire repertoire on display.
- Dylan Silber Dylan Silber 5'8" | SG Wando | 2022 State SC – 5’7” – Wando High School – Going into her Junior year Dylan has emerged as one of the top scorers in the Lowcountry. Wando made a run to the Lower State Finals this year and will miss their 7 graduating seniors. The season finished at 18 – 6 overall. If they expect to get back to Sumter and the SCHSL AAAAA Lower State Finals, they need Dylan to take on more of the scoring load following a year where she averaged 10.3 Pts and added 21 3-Ptrs.
- Jenna Sudduth Jenna Sudduth 5'5" | CG Greer | 2022 State SC – 5’5” – Greer High School – This year Greer was very up and down in the win column finishing with a 14 – 13 record on their way to the 1st round of the SCHSL 4A Playoffs. One of the bright spots was the steady play of Sudduth throughout the season. She averaged 15.0 Pts – 4.6 Ast – 2.6 Stl – while also draining 64 3-Ptrs. Jenna does a great job of getting everyone involved and scoring. College coaches need to keep an eye on her over the next 2 years.
- Savannah Porterfield – 5’8” – Byrnes High School – This season was a breakout performance for Savannah. She got off to a slow start as she deferred to her upperclassmen early on, but caught fire during the last 16 games of the year. During the season she averaged 11.7 Pts – 2.8 Reb – while hitting 24 3-Ptrs, which included a game where she hit 5 3-Ptrs. The team finished 21 – 6 on the season and made it to the 3rd round of the AAAAA Upper State playoffs. College coaches need a shooter like her on their rosters.
- Tyra Myers Tyra Myers 5'6" | PG Hammond | 2022 State SC – 5’6” – Hammond School – Coming off a season where she was able to average 19.4 Pts – 4.3 Ast – 4.2 Stl – she also knocked down 35 3-Ptrs. I have been able to watch Tyra play over the last 3 years on the High School & AAU/Club levels. Her continued development has been outstanding. Tyra has gone from winning a SCISA State Championship as an 8th Grader, to now being the team leader. I know College coaches are going to catch some action during her Junior and Senior years.
