Rachel Capua Rachel Capua 5'9" | SG Jackson Memorial | 2021 State NJ (2021) | Jackson Memorial
Capua will enter her final season as the top player in Ocean County and one of the best in the Shore Conference. She was a force, along with Kristina Donza Kristina Donza 5'9" | SG Jackson | 2020 State NJ , for a Jackson Memorial team that won 23 games. She scored 19 points per game and hit 62 three’s. Capua also got to the free throw line at a high rate finishing the season with 102 makes. She is a dynamic guard that can do it all on both ends. Jackson Memorial will be a top team once again with Capua running the show.
Alexis Voorhees (2021) | Brick Memorial
Brick Memorial is a young team that will be stronger next season. Voorhees will return as a senior leader and bring back her smooth jump shot. She hit 49 three’s this season which was near the top of the county. She has a quick release that can surprise opponents. Voorhees is a site to see shooting the ball during the course of a game.
Sydney Howell (2022) | Toms River North
Howell served as a marksman for Toms River North this season. She did not venture inside the arc much but if she had an inch of space, it was enough to get a shot off. Howell hit 40 three’s and had off the bus range. This will only get stronger as her career progresses.
Kya Joseph Kya Joseph 5'7" | SG Barnegat | 2022 State NJ (2022) | Barnegat
Joseph emerged as a star for Barnegat in her second season. She knocked down 34 three’s and scored 458 total points for an average of 18.3 points per game. She also led the team in rebounds with over 10 per game. Joseph had a knack of shooting off the dribble and a strong pull up game from midrange. She is a multi-faceted guard that is a true threat in the Shore.
Julia Altieri (2021) | Central
Altieri was one of the top scorers for Central this season. They are returning three of their top four which means they will be in for a good year. Altieri will serve as their main threat from deep. She led the team with 40 made three’s. She gave Central an outside threat to go with the players in the post.
Payton Arnold (2023) | New Egypt
New Egypt is a program that just keeps replenishing talent. They won 20 games this season and Arnold was a big factor in her first season. She was a dynamic shooter that did most of her work from down low. She was a nice compliment to Sarah Weber on the post.
Summer Davis (2022) | Southern
Davis is a scorer at all three levels. She could light it up from deep which she did 31 times this season. She could also drive to the rim and go to the free throw line for some easy points. Davis is a player that is expected to take a huge step as an upperclassman. She will step into a bigger role and expected to do more as a scorer.
