Their precocious shooting skills were on full display, as once they had their chance to claim their spot, they left their imprint. You have players such as Ella Wedin Ella Wedin 6'0" | SG La Salle | 2023 State OR of La Salle , whose prolific shooting skills were the main stakeholder in their overall offensive arsenal. St. Mary’s Academy Sofia Bell Sofia Bell 6'0" | PG St. Mary's Academy | 2023 State #34 Nation OR and Lizzy Bennett Lizzy Bennett 6'0" | SF West Salem | 2023 State OR of West Salem were advanced players who did a lot for their respective clubs with their all-around games and shooting was merely another variable of that. Kennedie Shuler Kennedie Shuler 5'10" | PG Sam Barlow | 2023 State OR from Barlow and Beaverton’s Madison Naro Madison Naro 5'7" | PG Beaverton | 2023 State OR both shot it very well, as it was another part of her crafty and complete games that they bring for their respective teams night in, night out. Ella Wedin Ella Wedin 6'0" | SG La Salle | 2023 State OR 2023 6’0″ SG La Salle HS – She is a tall guard at six feet and she utilizes this as an athletic, high IQ perimeter player with the knack for hitting the shot on the go for the Falcons. Ella sits patiently at her spots within the offense and once the ball is delivered to her, she seals the deal with a three. Displays a mature offensive game with superior ball handling skills as well as the talent to get to her spot and get the shot that she knows she will knock down. Led the team in three’s made with older sister, Addison, at 61, shooting an excellent 40% in the process.
Sofia Bell Sofia Bell 6'0" | PG St. Mary's Academy | 2023 State #34 Nation OR 2023 6’0″ SG St. Mary’s Academy – Sofia is an elite basketball player, for her shooting just so happens to be another dimension of her game. She is a talented, competitive player that has many layers to her game and she can hit down the three-pointer at an asserting rate. Her dribbling skills and footwork go hand in hand with getting high percentages shots within the paint and she asserts herself offensively to get high percentage shots. Three-level score and does it with style as she is an multilayered offensive players whose shooting skills compliment her game.
Kennedie Shuler Kennedie Shuler 5'10" | PG Sam Barlow | 2023 State OR 2023 5’8″ SG Barlow HS – Kennedie is a player that makes an impact all across the floor and this holds true to her shooting skills as well. She can take you off the dribble with her ensemble of dribbling moves or she can catch it on the fly and let it go. She has a nice looking jump shot in which she uses bounce from the catch as well as a good follow through sequence to get a favorable outcome. Can score all around the court and at levels as she is a versatile and complete offensive player. Excellent touch around the basket for floaters and has a knack for making the tough shot.
Madison Naro Madison Naro 5'7" | PG Beaverton | 2023 State OR 2023 5’7″ PG Beaverton HS – Madison’s shooting efforts are heavily augmented by the fact that she is a floor general that is constantly surveying the floor for her teammates. She has nice deceptive ball fakes that help her get a mid-range jumper within the key, which is easy points for her. Naro is also frequently waiting on the perimeter in case her team needs a bailout, as she catches the ball in rotation, and the transition into shot is very fluid for her. She is particularly selective with her shots, which ultimately helps her with her percentages.
Keelie O’Hollaren Keelie O’Hollaren 5'10" | SG Lakeridge | 2023 State OR 2023 5’6″ PG Lakeridge HS – Keelie is incredibly active on the court as she tried to make it happen in any way possible for Lakeridge last season. Her hyperactivity all over the floor left to her being at the right place at the right time for the Pacers. She is more than capable of hitting the three-pointer in pace with the offense and she knows how to get to her spots on the floor for an easy mid-range shot. Overall solid offensive player that averaged 10 points and shot 34 percent from three, illustrating that she is both effective and efficient.
Beaux Bruegman Beaux Bruegman 5'10" | SF Sheldon | 2023 State OR 2023 5’10″ SF Sheldon HS – Beaux is a big forward with a solid frame who can clean up down lot but was also depended upon by Sheldon to hit big three’s down the stretch when it was her turn. She isn’t flashy, but simply makes the right plays at the right time, explaining her shooting rate from downtown. She has a high release point and overall good mechanics, which are aided by her height. Bruegman also has a solid touch in the paint and around the perimeter in general, as she was counted upon by the Fighting Irish to score when they needed it.
Lizzy Bennett Lizzy Bennett 6'0" | SF West Salem | 2023 State OR 2023 5’11″ SF West Salem HS – Lizzy is the ultimate team player for the Titans, as she fits whatever role they need her for. She was also a huge asset for them offensively, as she found several ways to contribute right away for West Salem. At 5’11”, she is a mis-match on the perimeter as her quickness and athleticism enable her to be a great shooter. On the catch, she hits the open three-ball with a high percentage and she has a nifty tool-kit for scoring within the paint as well.
Emma Sixta Emma Sixta 5'10" | SG Jesuit | 2023 State OR 2023 5’10″ SG Jesuit HS – Emma is a versatile offensive player for the Crusaders that can score in a number of ways. One of her specialties is the three-pointer, which she made 43 on the season, shooting at a great clip at 35%. She doesn’t force the shot and allows it to come her way and makes the most out of her opportunities. Sixta is a player with a lot of energy and really makes an impact when the ball is in her hands and knows how to get into the heart of the defense and get her shot.
