Special S/O to Aaliyah McMillan (Steele) who has been nursing an injury but can simply shoot it from everywhere as well as Rian Forestier Rian Forestier 5'11" | SG Brandeis | 2024 State TX who will make her presence felt immediately when she enters high school next season
2021
Jaycie Brisco Jaycie Brisco 5'11" | SG Snook | 2021 State TX (Snook)
Current Rank #45
Brisco came out of nowhere and jumped on the list as she combined size, a deceptive first step and a legitimate mid to long-range shot because all of that combined gives her numerous options as she creates while being defended tightly and has shown she can mix it up while elevating over defenders and when you add her “knowledge of the game” and “playing within herself” that’s a neat package
Megan Brothers Megan Brothers 5'8" | SG LaGrange | 2021 State TX (LaGrange)
Current Rank #81
Brothers is the type of player I love to watch, show me in 2 minutes so I can move on yet it was a playoff game and after seeing her drop back to back to back three pointers in those opening two minutes, I knew she could shoot it but throughout the game, her ability to “catch and shoot” caught my eye even more because with a quick release and accuracy, good things will follow
Emma Vasquez (Brennan)
UNRANKED
Vasquez was one of the standouts at the South Texas Classic because she was savvy and just brought it right at whoever was guarding her. She showed range, very deep range and she also showed she could score while being guarded tightly but she too could get it off quickly and nail it consistently because she’s aware of where she is on the court and is ready
Mikayla Johnson (Cedar Ridge)
UNRANKED
Johnson set it off last season in club ball going completely off from BTA, then she did it again at the South Texas Classic dropping an array of missiles in a short amount of time so doing it in the Katy Classic, to help her team come from a 20 point deficit is a pretty neat trifecta of three-point shooting but it goes beyond that because of the energy she brings that can just change the momentum
2022
Carleigh Wenzel Carleigh Wenzel 5'11" | SG O'Connor | 2022 State #51 Nation TX (O’Connor)
Current Rank #3
Wenzel just keeps leaving me speechless and I’ve said just about everything I can so “picture perfect jumper’ “elevates over defenders” “knocks it down with ease while being defended” “gets hers in the flow” “can take over a game just about whenever she wants” and I said all of that before high school yet she constantly puts in the extra work behind the scenes and it shows
Aaliyah Holmes (Pflugerville)
UNRANKED
Holmes doesn’t need Watson to solve any mysteries as she has just become an overly talented middle school player that didn’t settle and continues to put in work. Good body, size, and strength give her options but her smoothness and ability to not get rattled have always been impressive. She will be upgraded as her mid to long continues to be hard to handle
2023
Gisella Maul Gisella Maul 5'10" | SG Cedar Park | 2023 State TX (Cedar Park)
Current Rank #6
Maul quickly made the adjustment on her talented high school team but when you receive a BCS offer in the 7th grade, that is no, or shouldn’t come to a surprise. She’s long and athletic, that’s the base I love to start with yet trying to stop her can be a problem because of her length, her ability to jump over defenders and just knock the mid to long down easily
Mia Galbraith Mia Galbraith 5'10" | SG Lake Travis | 2023 State TX (Lake Travis)
Current Rank #12
Galbraith made a big jump in a few months and legitimized a whole lot of areas in her offensive repertoire. She’s a big guard that can shoot it, that is something I love but most importantly, college coaches love it as well. Range and consistency combined with unselfishness and playing within herself has always been there but she understands she can take over and watching her create at She’s Ballin was something
Layla Conley Layla Conley 5'7" | SG Harlan | 2023 State TX (Harlan)
Current Rank #16
Conley dropped six threes in a row the first time I saw her play and she wasn’t even close to the line, enough said because my exact words were, “she’s going to set records” and I don’t know how close she is going platinum but gold was cemented almost immediately. Her length and athleticism combined with the ability to just get her shot off under pressure and nail it is just awesome
Angel Tumbarello Angel Tumbarello 5'4" | SG SA Johnson | 2023 State TX (Johnson)
Current Rank #22
Tumbarello is one of those “game changers” and by that I mean when she gets going, she changes the momentum dropping the ball from another stratosphere so she creates off the dribble, she can shoot it with the “stop and pop” and she can “catch and shoot” so that’s her triple of ways to drop the triple yet she does even more but more importantly she understands with it’s T TIME
