With only virtual tours and meetings going on these days I know it has been difficult to finish off some of the recruiting classes. Here are a few girls who are still open that you should look at:
Deshonti Lutz: The 5’9 guard from Mallard Creek high school was 1 of 4 seniors on the Mallard Creek squad. They have had a terrific run over the last couple years, they have been a power house. She was playing with a Wake Forest signee, a Barton signee, Columbia College signee, and 2 underclassman who are getting D1 interests already. She is a long athletic guard who has the potential to be able to shoot from long range. She is a feisty defender who is all over the court. She plays hard, and fast. Playing with a stacked roster like they have at MC she just did not have to be the go to option she could have been playing on another team. She played AAU for the 1Dream organization.
Noura Aboutalb: The 5’8 guard from Butler high school was 1 of 5 seniors on the Butler squad. Again she is another one playing behind D1 and D2 signees, so she was not the first option. However, Noura made sure her presences was felt in games. She will get up in you on defense and guard whoever you ask her to baseline to baseline. She is tough and will not back down from a challenge. She can put it on the floor and drive going left or right. Her shooting abilities are there, but could use some more work. She played AAU for the 1Dream organization.
Jamia Blake: The 5’8 guard from South Pointe high school was 1 of 9 seniors on the South Pointe squad. She is one of the biggest reasons why SP has been to back to back state championship games, she is a player. She scores the ball, rebounds on both ends, locks down on defense, and makes the right passes. (To be honest, I am not sure how she is still open.) She had 10 games where she scored 17+ points this last season, and 20 games where she had 4+ assists. She knows how to make offense. If you need a guard who can make things happen, and who knows what winning is all about this is your kid. She played AAU for the Team United organization.
