Continue Reading2021 High Academic Prospects are now the focus for some schools, they scour the country looking for girls that have a rather high grade point average and the basketball skills to compliment it. These girls all have at least a 3.40 GPA and the skills to go with it, these girls need to be viewed by coaches that believe they need these type of girls to recruit for their programs. We are compiling (5) names per class that have high academic status for coaches to view and decide if they would like to pursue, I really hope you enjoy the evals on the girls as well.
2021, 5’2, PG, Valencia HS, Marissa Howell
GPA: 4.00; SAT: 1210
Offer: La Verne University
Marissa is a feisty, quick and efficient point guard in our opinion, she is smart and plays with a very high IQ which is why most are very fond of her game. She runs her team with efficiency and is definitely the best ball handler on the team as we know it to be, she is fearless when it comes to competition and will do everything she can for her team to win. Shoots the ball very well from all three levels and is working on being more of a leader as in being vocal on the floor. She is a high academic prospect in my opinion and coaches should really take a good look at this solid point guard.
2021, 5’6, SG, Fairmont Prep Academy HS,
Kayla Ishibashi

Fairmont Prep | 2021
State
CA
GPA: 4.48; SAT: Pending
Kayla is a player in our book, she is illusive and one of the most fascinating player in this high academic prospects class of 2021, she is the total package for any school who chooses her. She is a scoring machine and get buckets in a hurry, she is quick on the floor and uses her athleticism to get to spots to score for her team. She is a good shooter and can score from the midrange and get to the rim and finish thru contact at times. Her strong suite is her ability to knock down the long ball and can knock down 3 to 4 if you allow her to get a good look. She is a coaches dream if looking for a scoring guard at a high academic school.
2021, 5’6, CG, Grant HS, Raven Powell
GPA: 3.40; SAT: Pending
Raven is that dog of a player with the aggressive approach to everything she does on the floor, she is relentless and is determined to be a winner and do everything for her team to win. She is aggressive off the dribble, she can get to the rim, she can stop and pop the midrange and can knock down the three pointer if open. She plays the point guard at most times as we saw her play, but she can also play off the ball and provide the scoring needed at the two spot. She is defensively minded and will guard at all times and is one of the most consistent on her team.
2021, 5’6, PG, Buena HS, Makenna Chasmar
GPA: 4.20; SAT: Pending
Makenna is that consistent point guard that every coach wants on the team, because she is not going to turn it over, she is very good with the ball and takes command. She is also a pretty good three point shooter, shown by the (33) 3s made this season on her stats, but one thing she is, is consistent with the ball. Has a pretty good body for the next level, can take some hits when going to the rim, always looking and has her head on a swivel, ready to dime that teammate for a bucket. Solid point guard here, take a good look at this girl, she is good in our opinion.

Abigail Clark

GPA: 4.30; SAT: Pending
Abigail is the best scorer in this bunch in our opinion, she is able to get buckets by the bunches as we watched her play this year and last. She is definitely a combo guard with a nice skill set, but she is solid as they come for a hustle player as well. She can score, she can pass it, she can defend and she is relentless when it comes to scoring the ball for her team. She is a 2x – First Team All League and First Team All-CIFSS in 5AA. She is one to take a good look at and is a pretty solid girl in our opinon as well.
