Whether making consistent strong drives and finishes or knocking down threes from behind the arc, these players found ways to put the ball in the basket. Look for their games to continue to develop and their point totals to continue to increase as they grow in understanding of how to create their own shots.

Taub brings more length to the floor than her height would suggest. The lefty shooter was very consistent from behind the arc when given the space to take in rhythm catch and shoot threes. She has a good understanding of moving without the ball and finding open spots on the floor, especially against zone defenses. She has decent athleticism and uses her ball fakes very well to lift or freeze defenders to create driving opportunities where she can convert layups with either hand. She is a decent defender around the perimeter but was susceptible to allowing drives by quicker guards. Even with this taken into consideration she was able to stay on the floor because of the value she adds to spacing defenses out that must have a hand in her face when she touches the ball. I expect that her shooting percentage will continue to increase.
Sydney Bowles Sydney Bowles 6'1" | CG Woodward Academy | 2022 State #17 Nation GA | 6’0″ | Woodward Academy
Bowles is the best all-around scorer in this class. She has the ability to take over a game and score on a string of offensive possessions by scoring from anywhere on the floor or getting to the free-throw line where she converts at a high percentage. She has great athleticism and finishes very aggressively through contact in the painted area. She has a high skill level and can create her own shot any time she touches the ball. She is a consistent shooter from beyond the arc and can make the catch and shoot or knock it down off the bounce. She is often a mismatch for defenses because she is to quick for most posts and too strong for most guards to defend. I believe that Bowles has the most room to improve on the defensive end where she could be more impactful, but you can trust her to provide more points than whoever she is guarding.
Deshona Gaither Deshona Gaither 5'8" | SG Jefferson | 2022 State GA | 5’7″ | Jefferson County
Gaither plays the game with a lot of energy and a constant motor that makes her effective on both ends of the floor. She has good quickness and can get to the rim in a hurry in transition. She does most of her scoring with strong layups but has a nice looking shot from behind the arc. She comes up with a lot of deflections on defense which leads to steals for herself and teammates. Her active style of play helps her fill the stat sheet and makes her a better rebounder than would be expected. She has to improve in her recognition of what play to make when she has the ball, but her consistent effort on the floor is sure to continue to separate her as she grows in understanding of the game.

Colvin is a bigger guard with a strong and physical style of play. She is dangerous in transition where she can get to the rim through contact to make good finishes or make last-second passes once defenders commit. She is a very good decision-maker in those situations and sees the floor very well. Even at the shooting guard position, she is a willing passer and rarely forces plays to happen. She has a good elevation on her jump shot and takes high percentage shots. Defensively she is solid, where again her physical toughness shows up. She is also a tough rebounder and shows the ability to be aggressive with bigger players when fighting for boards. Right now she is more of a straight-line driver which she does well. She will benefit from a tighter dribble and a couple of dribble moves to help create space and get separation for easier scores.
Keyonna Giles Keyonna Giles 5'7" | SG Columbia | 2022 State GA | 5’7″ | Arabia Mountian
Giles relies on her quickness to do most of her scoring in transition and is good at turning her defense into offense. She has good mobility around the perimeter using active hands to get deflections and steals and can shoot the passing lanes to get easy transition baskets. She is also good at tracking long rebounds which helps her get ahead of the break to make plays. In the half-court, she gets her points from drives to the rim but will occasionally knock down an open three. She has a growing game and should be able to produce more points as her ball-handling improves.
