Below is a breakdown of the U17 Wisconsin Flight team. This team is powered by Under Armour and will compete at multiple high level tournaments this season. The team pushes the ball in transition and will thrive on their quick offensive buckets. Take a look at the entire roster and how each prospect will impact their success.
Roster:
#2 Maci Meyer Maci Meyer 5'9" | CG Hartford | 2021 State WI
#3 Erin Barrette
#4 Emma Kilpatrick
#5 Ava Loftus
#13 McKenna Monogue
#21 Emma Lebeck
#23 Maya White Eagle Maya White Eagle 5'7" | CG Madison Memorial | 2021 State WI
#24 Gaby Matamoros
#33 Claudia Fieiras
#51 Jazzanay Seymore
Emma Kilpatrick | Kimberly | 5’8 G
Kilpatrick is a Class of 2022 prospect and has proven to have the skill and mental tenacity to play U17 this season. Playing on such a talented Kimberly squad last season, Kilpatrick didn’t see as many minutes as she could have. However, don’t count her out. She’s incredibly talented with sound fundamentals and ability to attack the basket. She will be a go-to defender for her team as well.
Emma LeBeck | Hortonville | 5’11 G
LeBeck is another Class of 2022 prospect on this Wisconsin Flight Elite squad. LeBeck was a role player last season for Hortonville. Playing behind one of the state’s top post players in Macy McGlone Macy McGlone 6'2" | C Hortonville | 2020 State WI , we were still able to see glimpses of how athletic and poised LeBeck will be for that squad. She averaged 6.1 points per game. She is confident on the perimeter and will be a shooting asset this summer.
Claudia Fieiras | Janesville Craig | 5’9 F
An athletic forward with decent size and a great frame. Fieiras has a great basketball IQ and understands her role on the court. She is a tough and consistent player. She can simply score the basketball in so many ways. She averaged 18.2 points per game for her high school team. She will continue to improve her rebounding skills to become an overall prospect for her team this summer.
Maya White Eagle Maya White Eagle 5'7" | CG Madison Memorial | 2021 State WI | Madison Memorial | 5’7 G
White Eagle is so impressive handling the basketball. Her style of play includes attacking the basketball or hitting a smooth perimeter shot. She is an electric shooter off the catch and does a great job finding her shooting pockets. She averaged 8.8 points per game for Memorial last season. She has a low assists to turnover ratio and is confident running the offense. White Eagle’s intense defense will catch coaches’ attention right away.
McKenna Monogue | Middleton | 6’1 F
Monogue is going to be such an impact player for this Flight Elite squad. She is a strong post player who is dominant in the paint while being a force from the perimeter. For her Middleton squad last season, she averaged 7.4 points per game. She also knocked down 37 three point baskets and was a sniper off the catch. She has great agility and athleticism on the floor so expect her to see a lot of minutes for this team.
Maci Meyer Maci Meyer 5'9" | CG Hartford | 2021 State WI | Harford HS | 5’9 G
Meyer was a 1st team all conference, 1st team all county and honorable mention all area during her junior season. A lightning quick guard who does a fantastic job getting to the basket, Meyer has a scorers mentality. She’s a long guard who uses her size to hit quick jumpers over defenders. She averaged 14.2 points per game for her team last season. She is committed to Division II McKendree University.
Erin Barnette | Menominee HS | 5’7 PG
The point guard for Flight is a floor general for her team. A pass first mentality, Barnette has excellent on court vision. She has super quick handles and ability to handle high defense pressure with composure. She leads her high school in steals with 207 during her career. As a junior she averaged 10.6 points per game. The First Team All conference selection can knock down the three point shot as well. Barnette holds an offer from Concordia- St Paul.
Gaby Matamoros | Waupun HS | 6’0 F
The class of 2022 prospect averaged 5.5 points per game and 4.5 rebounds per game at Waupun last season. As a sophomore, Matamoros was competing on the top team in the conference with two of the state’s top guards. She has a great range of tools in her bag and will impact on both ends. As she continues to improve her shooting stroke and speed, Matamoros will be hard to defend in the paint. A surprisingly good passer as well, Matamoros has a good eye for her open teammates.
Ava Loftus | Stoughton HS | 5’7 PG
Another floor general for Flight Elite, Loftus plays so patient and poised on the floor. She moves well without the ball and does a great job getting her teammates open. She has impressive handles and a quick release to her jump shot. She’s a high intensity defender and has wonderful footwork. She led her team in scoring with 11.1 points per game last season.
Jazzanay Seymore | Sun Prairie HS | 5’11 F
A strong experienced post player that excels on the block. She has great size inside and knows how to use it to impact the game on both ends. Seymore plays with so much swag on the court and is confident in the paint with the ball in her hands. She finished with 14.5 points per game for her high school squad. She developed her perimeter shooting stroke late season and I’d look for her to knock down at a higher percentage this summer. A rebounding specialist as well, Seymore impacts the game with ability to hold a box out and chase a board. She averaged 7.5 boards per game. Seymour earned 1st Team All Conference (Big Eight).
