Continue ReadingThe Exposure Event Co-Hosted by ArizonaGirlsReport and the PHHACILITY was a huge success. 45+ of some of the top high school players were evaluated by three NCAA Certified Scouts. In addition, several college coaches were in attendance to get a close up look at some solid non-committed prospects.
Five teams were created and each team participated in 2 pool games before entering a single elimination tournament. This format created a lot of excitement as there were several games that were decided in overtime.
Championship team was well balancedTeam 5 were the eventual champions squeaking out two close victories in the playoffs. The team consisted of Lilah Moore Lilah Moore 5'8" | CG Arizona Elite Prep | 2022 State AZ (2022, Pinnacle), Ella Bowman (2022, Desert Mountain), Talia Dial Talia Dial 5'10" | PF PHH Prep | 2022 State AZ (2022, Paradise Honors), Fabiana Cole (2022, Chaparral ), Kelsey Ericksen (2022, Shadow Ridge), Olivia Arvalo (2023, Vally Vista), Izzy Majarucon (2024, Deer Valley). Congrats Ladies.
Camp quick hitters
Mullings is well conditioned and ready to put in some work on the circuitBridgett Mullings (2021, PHH Fire)
Mullings is an exception athlete at the 3/4 position. She has been working hard to extend her shooting out the the 3 point line and Mullings is starting to see some success there. She is well conditioned and her inside game is on point. Mullings holds several D1 offers as well as a prominent D2 offer. Look for her to make a decision this fall for this elite prospect.
This dynamic ball player is simply known as “O” ([player_tooltip player_id="65617" first="Olivia" last="Arvallo"])Olivia Arvallo Olivia Arvallo 5'2" | PG Valley Vista | 2023 State AZ (2023, Valley Vista)
We had not seen Arvalo is a while and she did not disappoint. She is definitely developing into one of the top prospects in the 2023 class. Arvalo has gotten bigger and quicker (if that is possible). She is a knock down shooter and crafty ball handler.
Bowman had scouts and college coaches asking “who is number 67?”Ella Bowman (2022, Desert Mountain)
Bowman benefited the most by attending this event. Due to her transferring to Desert Mountain, she had to sit out her soph season. Bowman has returned bigger and much more skilled and she has developed into a match up problem. Although I had evaluated Bowman a couple times this summer, she was brand new to the scouts and college coaches in attendance. Bowman created a buzz. Evaluators were asking who she was and what was her story and I had the info. Well…I don’t think she is a secret anymore.
Williams is gonna do big things over at Paradise HonorsKyah Williams (2024, Paradise Honors)
I have been watching Williams develop during middle school and I always wondered how her game would translate to the high school level. She will be fine as she heads into Paradise Honors. At this moment, she is one of the smaller guards lead guards in the 2024 class. Don’t not let her size fool you. Williams uses her size to her advantage on both ends of the court. She is extremely hard to keep out of the paint and she is a quick decision maker. She is gonna be a terror on the defensive end as she recovers quickly, she prevents the other team’s PG from penetrating in the paint and she does well at playing the passing lanes.
Moore has shown steady improvement since the high school season has concludedLilah Moore Lilah Moore 5'8" | CG Arizona Elite Prep | 2022 State AZ (2022, Pinnacle)
I may have been on the Lilah Moore Lilah Moore 5'8" | CG Arizona Elite Prep | 2022 State AZ bandwagon here of late but her improvement since the end of the high school season has been remarkable. She is a tall point guard with good length but I must say that before the summer I was not sure if Moore could transition to the position. She has transitioned well and she demonstrates improvement every time we get a chance to see her. This past weekend she proved that she can handle the ball under distress. Moore keeps her dribble alive and she is always surveying the court with her head up. She is an underrated defender and deceptively strong for her build. Moore will need to continue to improve her shooting and her ability to attack the paint but she is on her way. D1 prospect for sure.
Maxwell is a competitor and she is primed for a good JulyAmoret Maxwell (2021, PHH Fire)
Maxwell is one of the better available 2021 players left from a talent rich class. She is a good athlete and has the size to play either the 2 or 3 at the next level. Her motor is good, she has good handles and Maxwell can score. She has been generating a lot of interest lately. Will continue to follow her.
Daniels is an up and coming prospect for sureSasha Daniel Sasha Daniel 5'7" | CG Seton Catholic Prep | 2022 State AZ (2022, Seton Catholic)
I have always liked Daniel’s game. Playing on guard rich Seton Catholic championship squad, sometimes I don’t think she gets the recognition that her game deserves. In any case, she is a consistent all around performer. The more you watch, the more you come away impressed with her abilities. Smooth performer. We will continue to follow her during the busy month of July.
There were many more players who performed well at this event and are rising players.
We will start to feature the top 60 players in the 2024 class next week. Be on the look out for that.
