ECI is consistently one of the top programs in the Dakotas and that should be the case again this year.
Here is a quick look at ECI Black
Guards: Lauren Fagerland, Precious Vetter, Angie Vetter, Symone Beld, Bergan Kinnebrew,
Fagerland played a role for West Fargo Sheyenne last year as an underclassman and should step into a bigger role over the next two years.
Precious Vetter and Angie Vetter come from Linton/HMB after playing key roles for a very good Lions team last season. Precious has solid height for a wing and can shoot it at a high level while Angie is a solid slasher who impacts the game defensively.
Beld emerged as a very good shooter in her junior year for Dickinson, averaging nearly 11 points per game while shooting better than 36 percent from the 3-point line.
Kinnebrew played JV for Bismarck Century as a freshman but could earn significantly more minutes this upcoming year for a team that expects to contend.
Forwards: Karson Sanders, Brooklyn Brendal, Peyton Breidenbach, Jillian Litwiller
Sanders was a solid forward for West Fargo Sheyenne last year, earning playing time despite being just a freshman. She’s got the potential to be one of the better forwards in the EDC if she continues to develop and this summer should be beneficial for her.
Breidenbach saw minutes for the Mustangs as a freshman as well and could see a significant uptick in minutes next year. She’s got good length and skill to play on the wing and gives this team some athleticism.
Brendal comes from Bismarck Legacy and while she didn’t get any varsity burn as a freshman, there is going to be ample opportunity for minutes starting as soon as next winter.
Litwiller comes from Glendive Montana where she was an honorable mention all league player last winter. She’s an active defender with the mobility to create scoring opportunities on the interior.
