These are players that all collegiate coaches, and hoops fans need to make a priority to check out next season. I would also highly recommend their HUDL highlights. These young ladies have talents that will stretch far beyond the Nebraska borders but will be a treat to watch this next season.
- Freddie Wallace 5’11- Lincoln Southwest At 5”11 with guard skills Wallace is an amazing player to watch. She can do everything offensively. If Wallace has a smaller defender on her she will post her up. Put a big on Wallace and Wallace will use her speed and ball-handling to blow by her defender. Wallace is on plenty of D1 coaches radars as she should be.
- Matalynn Campbell- Lincoln East Her ability to get deflections which leads to steals makes her special. Campbell also has an amazing court vision to hit her open teammates which leads to easy buckets. With a big senior class leaving the Spartans, look for Campbell to shine next season.
- Faith McCullough 6”3- Lincoln Christian McCullough is a shot-blocking machine. I think she will also become much more of a key piece offensively for the Crusaders as an upperclassmen.
- Taryn Ling Taryn Ling 5'7" | SG Lincoln Southwest | 2022 State NE 5’7- Lincoln Southwest- Ling is a menace on the defensive end. She has a motor that keeps going on the defensive end which leads to extra possessions for Lincoln Southwest. Another kid who will shine next season as a junior.

Alivya Bollen taking the ball to the basket.
Alivya Bollen 5’8 Lincoln Southeast- Bollen plays much bigger than her size. You will not find a player who competes harder than Bollen She is a fierce rebounder and a lockdown defender. Injuries cut her sophomore campaign a bit short. However, Bollen will look to have a big junior season for the Knights.
- Kinsley Ragland 5’8- Lincoln North Star Ragland is a combination of strength and skill. She is so strong she can guard players much taller than her. Ragland is also a lights out shooter. So if you give her room she will knock it down from all over the floor.
- Shanae Bergt 5’7 – Lincoln Lutheran Bergt is a pass-first point guard who sets up all of her teammates. She can drive right or left and is a solid point guard. Her ability to get to the basket and set her teammates up makes her a true joy to watch.
- Ariana Hoagland 5’7- Lincoln High Hoagland is another kid who has a relentless motor. She is a kid who will do whatever the coaching staff asks of her. I look for Hoagland to start to blossom in her junior and senior years.
- Mckenna Rathbun Lincoln Southwest- Rathbun is another quick guard who is a playmaker. Her ability to get her feet set and knock down open jumpers make her a complete offensive threat.
- Tayah Ryan- Lincoln Southeast Ryan is another playmaking guard. She has a knack for getting loose balls, steals, and deflections. Look for Ryan to be a key piece for the Knights next season.
- Nyathak Gatluak 5’7- Lincoln Northeast Gatluak did most of her work for the Rockets this past season rebounding and working hard on the defensive end. I think Gatluak has that speed and athleticism that will make her a scoring threat next season as a junior.
