Oklahoma City Area Rankings – Class of 2021
Oklahoma City has long been a hotbed for basketball and has produced numerous college stars. The class of 2021 should be no different. The players in the Oklahoma City area that made this list represent some of the top-rated stars and even a few who were not initially on the list. They will be in the next iteration of the PGH rankings, though. Most likely, very near the top. These six players are the best of the best in the OKC area.
Aaliyah Moore Aaliyah Moore 6'2" | SF Moore | 2021 State #6 Nation OK | 6-1 F | Moore | @aa1iyahM | Video
Moore held no less than 25 scholarship offers when she chose the Texas Longhorns back in April. She is an outstanding player that involves all of her teammates in the play with her outstanding court vision. Even with all of the assists, she still averaged 20 points per game as a junior. No.1-ranked Moore plays inside in dominant fashion, but has the handles to step out and shoot anytime she is called upon. Really an outstanding all-around player. She will be an integral part of new head coach Vic Schaefer’s plans to get perennial tournament team Texas back to the “big dance” and to reach the championship game as he did so many times at Mississippi State.
Chantae Embry Chantae Embry 6'1" | PF Norman | 2021 State #72 Nation OK | 6-1 F | Norman | @chantae_embry | Video
Embry is our No. 2-ranked player in the class of 2021 for good reason. She is an extremely strong and very physical player who plays much bigger than her 6-1 size, if that’s possible. She shot 53.3% from the field last season and averaged just under 17 points per game. She was just shy of averaging a double-double for the season with 9.8 boards per game. She is a true team leader. Very vocal on the court and it is clear that her very talented Norman team feeds off of her energy. She currently holds several offers from great basketball schools including LSU, Kansas State, Wichita State and UTEP.
Brianna Wietelman Brianna Wietelman 6'2" | C Oklahoma Christian | 2021 State OK | 6-2 F/C | Oklahoma Christian | Video
In the first edition of the class of 2021 rankings, I wrote that Wietelman could develop into an outstanding player with the proper coaching. Well, apparently that is exactly what has been happening down at OCA this past year. Wietelman averaged 18.7 points per game and led the state with 10.5 rebounds per game. Wietelman has great length with her 6-2 size and very long arms. She has very good post moves that have developed tremendously throughout her high school career. No word on scholarship offers yet, though there is no doubt that she has a lot of them.
Emrie Ellis Emrie Ellis 6'2" | SF Vanoss | 2021 State #53 Nation OK | 6-2 C | Vanoss | @ellisemrie | Video
Ellis is an absolute beast in the middle. The Razorback commit relishes the chance to block shots and owns the paint anytime that she is on the floor. Nobody will get an easy bucket at the basket when Ellis is on the floor. Our No. 3-ranked player averaged 17 points and almost nine rebounds per game last season. She will be joining fellow Okie Rylee Langerman Rylee Langerman 5'9" | CG CHA | 2020 State OK to play for head coach Mike Neighbors in Fayetteville. The Razorbacks have not made the tournament since 2015 – prior to Neighbors’ hiring – and will be looking for big things from this big player in 2022!
Kennedy Allison Kennedy Allison 6'0" | PF Mount St. Mary | 2021 State OK | 6-0 F | Mount St. Mary | @KennedyAllison1 | Video
In this scout’s opinion, Allison is being under-recruited. I’m just going to come out and say it. Initially ranked No. 13 in our 2021 class, Allison will most likely move into the top-10 after the summer grassroots season is over with. Allison fights hard inside and can shoot the ball very well. She truly does it all. The 6-0 forward is already a 1,000 point scorer heading into her senior season and has 500 rebounds as well. Only Allison and Wietelman averaged double-doubles in the state of Oklahoma last season. The class-4A star averaged 16.8 points per game and 10.1 rebounds last season. She has seen interest from numerous schools such as Army, Texas State and UA-Little Rock. She has one offer from Rockhurst University in Kansas City. Allison should be on Division-I radars this coming season and with another huge year will no doubt see the offers flooding in.
Adysen Wilson | 5-11 G | Lomega | @AdysenWilson | Video
Wilson was overlooked in our first set of 2021 player rankings. Her 44.5% from behind the arc and 606 points on the season in 2020 will make sure she is not overlooked again. Wilson is an outstanding shooter with a fast, pure stroke from deep. She can handle the ball well and is able to take her defender one-on-one off the dribble. She has outstanding size for a guard and is only beginning to learn how to use it inside. She was the best three-point shooter in Oklahoma in 2020 and will no doubt build on her outstanding stats this coming season. Expect to see her skyrocket up the rankings and the recruiting boards of many programs.
