Alexis Wolgemuth: The 5’6 guard from Foard high school is already a 1K point scorer. Averaging 25 points per game, nearly 4 assists, and 6 rebounds this last season she fills up the stat sheet. She uses her strength and athleticism to get in the paint where she finishes either side of the rim, or dishes off to her teammates. She can shoot the 3 ball and mid-range. And as prolific of a scorer that she is, she recorded over 80 assists this last season. She also had over 90 steals on the year.
Lariyah Clark: The 5’9 small forward from West Iredell high school is another stat sheet stuffer. Averaging nearly a double-double this last season 18 points and 9 rebounds, to go along with 2 assists and steals per game. She recorded 8 double-doubles and came close to a handful of others. She is quick with the ball in her hands, gets downhill quick, and finishes well. She gets to the free-throw line quite often, attempting over 180, and converting on over 100 of them. Defensively she is long and active creating turnovers that leads to an easy 2 points. She plays AAU for the Carolina Lady Rising Stars organization.
Nakyla Heaggens: The 5’11 power forward from West Iredell high school did average a double-double this last season. At 13 points and 12 rebounds a game, she is a force to be reckoned with. She uses her size to bully her way in the paint. She finishes well, will put it on the floor and get to the rim, shoot the mid-range, and can shoot the 3. She is a true paint protector. Averaging almost 3 blocks a game, and altering a handful of others throughout the game. She gets great position for rebounding, as well as being able to out jump her opponents. She has major potential to keep getting better over these last 2 seasons and be an impact player at the next level. She plays AAU for the Carolina Lady Rising Stars organization.
Zakiah King: The 5’11 power forward from Patton high school is another walking double-double. Averaging 11 points, and 13 rebounds a game. A smaller frame, she uses it well though. She runs the floor well, she gets in good position to rebound, and finishes well around the rim. She is more of a traditional post player, she does not shoot the 3 ball, but still is an efficient scorer over 45% from the floor. She is another paint protector averaging 3 blocks a game, and in 8 different games she had 5+. Another player with a lot of potential going forward for the next 2 seasons.
