2021 Class
Riley Jenkins – Galesburg H.S. – 5’8. A long, athletic point guard for the Silver Streaks who can put the ball in the basket on a regular basis. Riley is a strong leader who is gaining interest from all over, including Division 1 schools.
Katie Krupa Katie Krupa 6'2" | SF Morton | 2022 State IL – Morton H.S. – One of the top prospects in her class in the entire state, Katie has garnered a lot of interest at the Divison 1 level.
Delaney Cook – Peoria Christian H.S. – 5’9. Delaney is a very athletic, quick guard that can get to the rim. Slashing is her strongest option to score but she is working hard this off-season on her shot and getting it more consistent. Delaney is a very strong defender that is getting Division 1 interest.Maya Osborn Maya Osborn 5'5" | CG Marshall | 2022 State IL – Marshall H.S. – Leader who can bring a team together but can also score.. A Division 2 coach told coach Gardner last summer that “Maya was a culture changer, she literally changed the entire atmosphere at their elite camp because of her personality, work ethic and talent, we hadn’t really seen anything like before.”Ella Lune – Brimfield H.S. – 6’0. Post that has made big strides this past year. 20ppg scorer who is long and moves well around the basket. She made All Tournament team at the State Farm Tournament. Ella is getting more and more aggressive each time she steps on the court.Taylor Wells – St. Joe’s Ogden – 6’2 – Taylor is a strong rebounder. Coach Gardner is working with her to improve her footwork to go along with her great touch around the rim. Coach Gardner see’s her as a big asset to the program this year.Jordyn Cannon – El Paso – 5’5. True point guard that can handle pressure and defend with the best of them. Jordyn is a strong passer that can also knock down the 3 ball.Katie Smith – Canton H.S. – 5’9. Katie is a forward that has made big improvement over this past year with Canton on her face up game and has become consistent 15 feet out with her shot and ability to attach the rim, she is very physical and aggressive both on offense and defense and battles hard on defense as well as reboundsGracie Kizer – Pekin H.S. Gracie is guard/wing that can score by getting to the rim and by the jumper. She plays well in the Heart of Illinois system due to her aggressive defensive nature that shines in the full court pressure. A hard worker, Gracie is getting looks at the Division 2 level.Elynn Peterson – Brimfield H.S. Elynn is super athletic player that is transitioning into a point guard. Her quickness, to go along with her defense and jump shot should make that transition go smoothly.DeAmber Smith – Peoria High School. DeAmber is super quick, athletic guard who can be shifty and crafty with the basketball that also has great ability to get to the rim and finish.Ashley Jones – Abindgon-Avon – Even though she may be a bit undersized for a post, Ashley has phenomenal ability to score as she averaged almost 30 points for her team. Super hard worker that carries A-Town on a nightly basis, this will be her first year playing with Heart of Illinois.Tanaya Cummings – Dunlap H.S. – Tanaya plays very hard, makes hustle plays most other players won’t and is big leader. Her skills on the offensive side of the ball are coming along as she has developed a nice jumper.
