There is a huge crop of talent coming up in the 2024 class. Prep Girls Hoops takes a look at some of the biggest names that will be impact players over the next for years.
KYNDAL WALKER – 5’9″ – POINT GUARD
Kyndall WalkerKyndal is one of the most dynamic players to come out of middle school. She will be heading to St. John’s College the WCAC Conference runner-ups with a chance to contribute from day one. Kyndal has exploded on the scene via a series of showcase and camps and have turned heads at every stop. She has an incredibly quick first step and is able to finish contested shots at the rim. She has the game in her DNA coming from a basketball family.
KENNEDY UMEH -6’2″ – POST
Kennedy is solid in the paint as well as in the classroom. She is a good rebounder and finisher with a nice mid range shot. She can get up and down the court with the guards and may be the DMV’s next premier post player.
LAUREN CERESINI – 5’8″ – COMBO GUARD
Lauren has good size and uses her body well to attack. She seemed physically stronger than most of the others middle school players, we will see how she holds up against players stronger on the high school level. She has a good shot and passes well.
JULIA FINNEY – 5’8″ – GUARD
Julia is on of the hardest working players you will find in the gym, this should pay dividends as she makes the jump to high school. She shot the ball really well and has a nice rotation on her shot. She drove and passed the ball nicely during the day.
ELLA MOORE – 5’8″ – POINT GUARD
Ella is tough and can handle in traffic. She is good at keeping the play going after contact and finishing. She’s a lefty with a good outside shot. She has the size to compete at the high school level and will just have to adjust to the speed.
CAROLAE BARTON – 6’0″ – POST
Carolae has had a dominant pre-high school career. She is a physical post that uses her body to take up space for rebounds. She is a good finisher inside. At times she was unstoppable in middle school and with some time she can potentially be one of the better front court players in the area on the next level.
