The 2024 class is deep in talent and the point guard position is no exception. The role of the point guard is to (1) run the offense, (2) be a coach on the floor, (4) take care of the ball, (5) dictate the tempo, (6) facilitate scoring opportunities for their team and (7) be a tremendous leader. Here is a list of 2024 point guards (in alphabetical order) that will be ranked during the next update in August.
Ava Adams (5’4”, North Canyon) – quick point guard who is intent on getting everyone involved. Will get after it on defense and she is a tireless performer. Club team: Arizona Rebels 15U
Ava Pautz (5’6”, Notre Dame) – Good size point guard who could end up 5’10”. Good length, moves well and a good athlete with upside. Club team: Arizona Rebels 15U
Eanae Dragons (5’3”, Desert Vista) – Super fast point guard who plays with a ton of confidence. Attacks the basket as good as anyone in the class. Can score on all 3 levels.Club team: Arizona Elite Rey 15U
Isabela Molina (5’4”, Cibola) – Molina has quietly been improving her game the past 12 months. She handles well and Molina is an effective shooter out to the 3-point line. Part of the talented 2024 Cibola class. Club team: Cobra Venom (Yuma)
Isabella Majarucon (5’5”, Deer Valley) – fundamentally sound point guard who is one of the class better shooters. Majarucon is a gamer and she makes great decisions when the game is on the line. Club team: Arizona Elite Rey 15U
Kristen Valdez (5’3”, Sahauro) – Effective game manager and Valdez will take care of the ball. Need to see her more as we only evaluated her in a showcase format but the talent is there. Club team: Tucson Heat
Kyah Williams (5’2”, Paradise Honors) – Constantly keeps the pressure on the defense with her ability to get into the paint. Passes well in traffic. Terrific transition player. Club team: Team Daylight
Meisha Caserio (5’4”, Gilbert) – Really effective 2 way player. Tenacious on the defensive end and Caserio is a coach on the floor. Underrated scorer but teams are now having to deal with her increased ability to hit the 3. Club team: Arizona Elite Porth 15U
Misha Fusion (5’6”, Dobson) – A do all point guard that can thrive in a variety of offensives. She is outstanding at dictating the pace of the game and she is Fusion is not afraid of the big moment. Experienced performer who could play all day if needed. Club team: Arizona Lady Soilders
Nadya Gutierrez (5’5”, Deer Valley) – Have not seen Gutierrez in a while but she was an up and coming player last year. She showed a ton of potential and we are looking forward to evaluate her again in August. Club team: TWE
SaRae Kennard (5’4”, Desert Vista) – Kennard has improved as much as anyone on this list over the past 12 months. Her jumper is looking good, she handles pressure well and she makes good decisions. Kennard just needs more experience but she is on her way. Club team: Club Team: Arizona Elite Rey 15U
Taylee Stuebs (5’4”, Cibola) – Stuebs has been a surprise performer this summer. She has good court awareness and one of the better passers in the class. She is another performer who has been improving a ton so we are excited to see how well she performs her freshman year at Cibola. Club Team: Cobra Venom (Yuma)
