Amaya Glenn Amaya Glenn 5'5" | PG Reagan | 2023 NC : The 5’6 guard from Carmel Christian high school is a scrappy, likes to play fast, tough player. Coming in at almost 11 points per game, along with almost 3 steals per game this last season-that is how she accumulated her easy buckets. She harasses whoever she has to on defense to come up with a steal. Whether it be a trap, just getting up in her opponent, or reading the floor. In transition she likes to get out and run, she is usually ahead of the pack she is pretty quick. She shot the 3 ball decent as a freshman, but with 3 years left in her high school career she will become more consistent with it. She plays AAU for the Charlotte Flames organization.
Janiah Shular: The 5’8 guard from Gaston Day high school was an All-Conference selection this last season. She had a couple of really huge breakout games as a freshman. Nearly averaging a double-double (8 and 8 on the season), she managed to record 3, but had 6 other games where she was rebounding 10+. She plays extremely hard and goes and gets every rebound she can. She had a stretch in the middle of the season where in 6 out of 7 games she scored 10+ points, and that included her 19 point (season high) and 11 rebound game. She has tremendous upside to her game with how hard she plays and her athleticism. It will be fun to watch her continue to get even better over the next 3 seasons.
Lizzie Sain: The 6’1 center from University Christian high school can almost be pegged as a walking double-double. Averaging right at 10 points and 8 rebounds per game this last season, she is raw, but has a lot of potential. She does a good job of posting up and wanting the ball, with some more footwork and adding some different finishes around the rim she can become a force down low. Defensively she is grabbing all the rebounds that come her way. When she has her hands up she becomes 6’4 so she is a rim protector altering and blocking shots. She has a lot of potential to become a good inside player if she continues to develop over the next 3 seasons.
Ansleigh Sherrill: The 5’7 guard from Statesville Christian high school was an All-Conference selection this last season. The long and lanky guard had her fingerprints on every stat this last season. She could score it, rebound it, steal it, and assist it. She is a tough kid who plays hard and does whatever it is her team needs of her to make sure they win. A bit of a streaky 3 point shooter, but she has time to become more consistent from deep. She does a decent job of getting in the paint where she scores it, or dishes off to teammates. She has good court vision and is unselfish with the ball averaging almost 3 assists per game. She plays AAU for the Winston-Salem Stealers organization.
