Continue ReadingThe second day of the Tournament of Champions in Indianapolis started off with the MT Elite Ducks 17u Platinum team winning a close battle with Kessel Heat 53-47. Despite struggling to finish around the basket the Ducks used 9 made three pointers to help the offense. Whitman – Hanson high school teammates Reese Cordero Reese Cordero 5'6" | SG Whitman -Hanson | 2021 State MA and Riley Harlow led the way with a combined 27 points and 7 made from beyond the arc.
Game 2 of the day saw the Ducks 17u drop a tough game to Hoopstars Family 51-36. Quincy High School sharpshooter Priscilla Bonica led the way with 10 points. The Ducks will play one more game tomorrow morning at 8am against the Stars Basketball Club of Nashville.
The 16u Platinum Ducks took a 2-0 record into Day 2 but lost a close one to Illinois Rockets 46-43. Once more Class of 2022 rising star Julia Elie led the way with 14 points and Class of 2023 newcomer Sophie Cronin of Montrose added 11.
In the final game of the day the Ducks 16u were not tipping off until after 9pm. Check back tomorrow as we will update the remaining games for both MT Elite Ducks teams.
