We caught up with West Coast Premier in Vegas this past weekend and they are looking as they have been foretold, they are big, long, quick, strong and maybe one of the better teams in California this season. They have not matched up with some of the other groups as Cal Storm, Cal Sparks, West Coast Elite or even Troop West and EBO Lady Hoops yet, but I believe it has to happen to make this even worthy of saying you played the season. Here are some of the WCP girls that we believe put in major work over the weekend. Hope you enjoy the evaluations.
2021, 6'4, PF/C, Harvard Westlake HS, [player_tooltip player_id="49223" first="KiKi" last="Iriafen"] - All around athlete, highly athletic, very skilled, tenacious rebounder and just a menace on the court for anyone trying to guard her. High Major talent for sure, shoots the ball out to the free throw line, skilled with left or right over the shoulder post play. This kid is one of the toughest defenders as well and plays with a very high IQ for the game. Always makes the right play and is still growing in my opinion.
2021, 6'0, G/F, Bishop Montgomery HS, [player_tooltip player_id="49226" first="Khylee" last="Pepe"] - Khylee is impressive because her approach to the game, when it comes to being a winner for her team and a consistent leader. She has a college body right now and is one of the most physical players on the court in our opinion. She can create matchup problems for bigs, because she can handle the rock and shoot it with consistency. She is gonna be special this season coming up.
2021, 5'7, PG, Corona Centennial HS, [player_tooltip player_id="49228" first="Jayda" last="Curry"] - because she is a gifted scorer in her own right. She can score in multiple ways and is very electric when she is on the floor, which allows for her to use all of her skill set to showcase her skill. She is good with the handles, she is good with the pass, she is good with the midrange and getting to the basket and also the three point shot. She is making a case to be a prime time player for the 2021 class and she will get better each and every year.
2021, 6'3, SF, Lynwood HS, [player_tooltip player_id="49225" first="Rayah" last="Marshall"] - Rayah is the total package if you ask anyone in the girls basketball arena, she is skilled in many ways, such as handles, she can pass, she can rebound and she is a threat to score from all three level on the floor. She is aggressive, she is athletic, she is a beast on the floor and always on the attack to get a bucket for her team. Rayah blocks shots, she changes shots and will chase a player down on the break and block the shot off the backboard, just relentless in our book.
2021, 5'7, SG, Mater Dei HS, [player_tooltip player_id="102661" first="Alyssa" last="Frescas"] - Alyssa is a shooting guard with a nice skill set to her game, she can knock down the shot from all three levels on the floor. She is aggressive on the defensive end of the floor and is a born leader on the floor for her team. She handles well, she attacks off the dribble, but her specialty is the pull up jumper.
2021, 5'7, SG, Long Beach Poly HS, Kalalya Buggs - Buggs is another strong wing who can play guard and some small forward. She is a good rebounder for a wing. She has a stronger play making game; she's comfortable with the ball in her hands and making plays for others. She can get her own shot when she wants to whether that's attacking the rim, pulling up for a jumper, or shooting from the outside.
