I will be providing some coverage here and there of some of the participating teams. I got my first look at ’All Northwest’ this morning. This is a group of girls that essentially had no teams to play on until grassroots coach Javaris Bellamy came to the rescue and put the team together in a couple weeks to provide girls an opportunity to play. All Northwest has several players for the Division 2 level and below.
All Northwest suffered a 76-51 loss to ECI 17u Gold, but there truly were some bright spots from some individuals, despite apparent lack of chemistry, specifically on the defensive end.
All Northwest Player Notes:
2021 5’7 PG Tori Younker (Couer d’Alene HS/ID) is an under the radar player that can play at the next level. She had a nice crafty, reverse layup finish, showed the ability to knock down the three ball and be an overall fundamental player. A solid small college prospect.
2021 5’10 SG/SF Isabella Reed Isabella Reed 5'10" | SG Arizona Elite Prep | 2021 State AZ (Inglemoor HS) was a super standout in game one versus ECI. She hit multiple threes and played with high level confidence on the offensive end. She can attack some out of the triple threat or off the bounce. Reed holds a couple of small college offers already and she is trending in a good direction overall based off her play this morning. Reed notched 11 points against ECI.
2021 5’8 SG Delaney Pink Delaney Pink 5'8" | SG Chiawana | 2021 State WA (Chiawana HS) played very well this morning. She has drawn Division 1 interest for over a year now, but remains uncommitted. She has a quick first step and crafty scoop shot around the basket. Pink also knocked down the outside shot. A prospect that some colleges should be on a little more aggressively. Finished with 13 points on 6-9 shooting to lead the team. *Feature image
2023 5’9 SG Ashley Parker (Hanford HS/OR) is the youngest prospect on the team, but she showed some nice moments on the offensive end. She has solid size at the guard position and possesses a clean shooting stroke. A player for non D1 schools to begin tracking.
2021 5’8 PG Shawnacee Davis (Curtis HS) is by far the most athletic player of the bunch. She has a pop to her game that stands out on both sides of the ball. Her offensive skill set is decent enough to attack and finish in the paint and her shooting form isn’t bad at all. More refinement will be needed, but she can defend on the ball at a high level right now, which will translate to the next level.
2021 5’6 PG Hayley Flores Hayley Flores 5'6" | PG Auburn Mountainview | 2021 State WA (Auburn Mountainview HS) scored 9 points on 3/10 shooting, but also led the team with 3 assists. Flores has a high IQ, slick handle and three point shooting ability. She currently has some college interest at different levels.
