Wedin has learned to become a utility player – one that is counted on doing numerous things including rebounding, facilitating, and scoring. She did this in a big way, accumulating stats all across the board for the Star.
Maya Hernandez 2023 6’0” PF Cal Stars/Archbishop Mitty – Maya is a disciplined forward who is a true two who player. Where she starts this all is on the defensive end, where she anchors the paint for the Stars as an active and mobile forward who collects rebounds at a great rate. On the other end, she is a polished scorer around the basket with a nice touch. With the absence of Amanda Muse Amanda Muse 6'4" | C Heritage HS | 2023 State CA during Nike TOC Iowa Session III, the Stars looked no further than the talented forward from NorCal.
Trinity Zamora 2023 6’0” PF Cal Stars/Piedmont HS – Wing who has a lot of length and uses it wisely to her advantage on the offensive end of things. She can score on the block with her length and get to unique angles around the rim because of it. On the perimeter, her height allows her to have an edge on defenders and she can stroke it from deep. Zamora at this point is a well polished all around player who does a little bit of everything because of her IQ and physical traits.
Randi Harding 2022 5’7” SG Cal Stars/Piedmont HS – The smooth operator for the Cal Stars all weekend, as her game is not as flashy as it is concrete. She knows when it is her turn to take over and score and does it with simple but effective maneuvers. Has a nice handle on the ball and has a nice mid-range pull up as well as has finesse going to and finishing at the basket. She never forces or presses the issue but knows when to up the pace and press on the gas to score.
Abigail Jones 2022 6’0” SG All Iowa Attack 10th Morgan/Waukee HS – Abigail is a tall guard who has a feathery touch from outside as she hit several hits way beyond the three point line. She certainly knows her spots on the court and makes the opposition pay for leaving her open. Based on her size alone she is a great rebounder. She is a developing scorer inside as most of them come based on effort. She had 15 points and 6 rebounds in a nice showing versus the Stars.
Teya Sidberry 2022 6’0” SF Colorado Premier/Judge Memorial Catholic HS – Teya is an incredible athlete whose merits are based on high motor as well as sleek finesse. She is constantly making plays on both ends, whether that is rebounding or scoring from multiple spots on the court. A workhorse who is constantly rewarded by these qualities, she will make a string of plays on both ends, as she is a natural glue player who truly does it all. HAd 13 points, 13 rebounds, and 3 steals in her game against the Stars.
