Missouri River Elite 17u
#23 Arinna Berryhill 5’9 SG Legacy High School Bismarck, ND 21’ Long and athletic, looked like the best player on the MRE squad. Ran the floor well, finished through traffic inside the lane.
#15 Hannah Stymeist 5’9 PF Legacy High School Bismarck, ND 21’ Ever time I looked up I saw Hannah talking. She talks on defense and moves well. She was pointing out instruction, getting girls matched up, finding and filing in the holes on transition defense. Hannah was like a free safety out there.
#30 Jaiden Baker 5’9 SG Legacy High School, Bismarck, ND 21’ Had a different bounce to her game. Handles the ball well, making defenders twirl around and get lost. Had an array of different finishes around the rim.
ND Pro 17u
#5 Carlee Sieben Carlee Sieben 5'8" | PG Grafton | 2021 State ND 5’7 PG Grafton High, ND 21’ Nice controlled and tempo player. Was able to find teammates in transition and found open shooters.
ND Attack 17u
#25 Emma Mogen Emma Mogen 5'8" | CG Watford City | 2021 State ND 5’8 SG Watford City, ND 21’A long armed wing player, Mogen was crafty inside the paint. Also has the ability to hit the three ball.
#3 Mackenzie Hughes Mackenzie Hughes 5'5" | PG Thompson | 2021 State ND 5’6 PG Thompson High School, ND Hughes was big for ND Attack defensive front. She slowed down the opponent main ball handler which caused a delay in teams being able to get into their offense.
United Sports Academy 14U
#1 Peyton Tritz 5’4 PG Dakota Valley High, SD 24’ Tritz is a very smart PG at her age. She also plays with a little grit and toughness.
#24 Grace Meyer 5’2 SG Dakota Valley High School, SD It may be a theme with Dakota Valley players because Meyers plays with that same toughness as Tritz.
SD Network 17u BlueStar
#2 Jordan Heckert 5’8 SG Rapid City Central 21’ Was one of the best 2 guards during the TOC session I. Heckert was able to get into her pull up jumper, spot up for threes and weave through the lane for nice finishes.
#23 Kaela Martinez Kaela Martinez 5'7" | CG Sioux Fall Roosevelt | 2022 State SD 5’8 SG SF Roosevelt High, SD Martinez come out and played great defense on some of the best PG’s in the country. She held her own while being able to operate on the offensive end. A+ ball handling skills and can create a shot against any opponent.
#12 Grace Gerken Grace Gerken 5'6" | CG Brandon Valley | 2021 State SD 5’6 PG Brandon Valley High, SD 21’ Undoubtedly the team leader. Whether on the court or from the bench, you can hear Gerken giving out instruction, calling out plays and encouraging her teammates. Definitely the quarterback of the team.
