I have multiple more games to tune into, but there are several standouts worth noting from games I have watched this morning and first part of the afternoon. All Northwest is playing in the Nike TOC Iowa Session 3 and Tree of Hope Pacific is in the Brandon Clay Summer Invite in Atlanta, GA.
All Northwest Gets First Win
All Northwest got some good reports from colleges and a scout in the Midwest as they defeated Beyond Ball 17u 24k (Iowa) in the Nike TOC Session 3. The team had balanced scoring and several standout performers!
2021 5’8 SG Delaney Pink Delaney Pink 5'8" | SG Chiawana | 2021 State WA (Chiawana HS) has been a stud all session. She led the team in scoring again with 16 points. She has great shooting form, showing the ability to knock down the outside shot, but then she has the first step to blow by her man. Pink is playing about as good of basketball as she has ever played.
2021 5’6 PG Hayley Flores Hayley Flores 5'6" | PG Auburn Mountainview | 2021 State WA (Auburn Mountainview HS) showed off her high basketball IQ and ability to control the tempo of a game. An underrated prospect that has game. Shifty, quality shooter and competes on defense despite her smaller frame. Finished with 12 points for the game.
2021 5’6 G Karina Hibbitt (East Valley HS) put together her strongest performance of the session chipping in 12 points. Hibbitt has a solid skill set overall and could help a small college program.
2021 5’8 PG Tori Younker (Cour d’Alene HS/ID) has put together three really solid games in a row. She was good for 11 points in the latest win, after scoring a game high 18 points the previous game. Younker can hit the outside shot and handle on perimeter. Another stock rising small college prospect!
2021 5’10 SG/SF Isabella Reed Isabella Reed 5'10" | SG Arizona Elite Prep | 2021 State AZ (Inglemoor HS) showed more flashes in that last. A threat attacking the paint and strong body. Clean and improved shooting form from a year ago.
Tree of Hope Pacific Grinds Out Win
Tree of Hope Pacific is a nucleus of 17u and 16u EYBL players from Tree of Hope that is playing in the Brandon Clay Summer Invite event in Atlanta, Georgia. TOH Pacific is now 3-0 after grinding out a 40-34 victory over Hoop Dreams (GA).
2021 6’1 SF Jenna Villa Jenna Villa 6'1" | SF Arlington | 2023 State WA (Arlington HS) continues to stand out this Summer! As I previously tweeted, Villa has a translatable skill to to Division 1 level with her shooting ability. When you add in the fact she is 6’1, she is trending towards the high major level more and more for the right fit of a school.
2024 5’10 PG Katie Fiso (Garfield HS) has a great feel for the game with the ball in her hands. She set players up really nicely several times, even if her teammates didn’t finish at a high rate in this one. Typically a pass first player, Fiso did have one nice behind the back stop and pop that fell through the net showing some good scoring ability.
2022 6’2 SF Drea Brumfield Drea Brumfield 6'2" | SF WF West | 2022 State #72 Nation WA (WF West HS) showed some flashes with her length in the win over Hoop Dreams. Playing against players with more strength and aggression will be huge in her development and she is starting to find some ways to succeed as a slashing forward at this level.
I will be tuning into NW Magic Team Huff this evening as well as Tree of Hope’s game against Exodus 17u EYBL! Be sure to follow on Twitter @PGHWashington for a variety of updates.
