These players have been working on their craft to continue to add value to their game. Their time has arrived to show what they can do on the court and to play their way into a collegiate opportunity.
Here are some up-and-coming players to keep an eye on in the Class of 2022.
Maggie Dooley Maggie Dooley 6'2" | C Holy Family | 2022 State CO (Holy Family)
Dooley is a physical player in the post at both ends. She has great footwork and does well establishing herself down low. Dooley rebounds well rebounding the ball and passing ahead to push the pace. Standing at 6-foot-3, Dooley also shows signs of being able knock down shots in the mid range and she is looking to extend her range. She has a soft touch around the rim and can finish over defenders. As she gets more touches and continues to improve her game, Dooley can be a tough matchup for opponents with her ability to wall up and make shots difficult for opposing players.
Charley Gordon Charley Gordon 5'4" | SG Cherry Creek | 2022 State CO (Cherry Creek)
With two of the top players on the Cherry Creek roster graduating and heading to their respective collegiate programs, Gordon should get more touches and increase her production on both ends. Gordon shows that she can play among the best in Colorado and create turnovers on defense. She has a lot of heart, determination and grit, and Gordon shows the ability to knock down shots as well as attack the rim with great touch. She averaged 3.5 points per game on 25-for-66 (38 percent) shooting from the field and went 11 for 27 from behind the arc in 2019-20.
Chloe Keck Chloe Keck 5'6" | SG Pueblo South | 2022 State CO (Pueblo South)
Keck is a player who can get it going on the offensive end and as she continues to improve and develop her game, can be a great value to her team this coming year. Pueblo South is graduating a player this past year who averaged 16.3 points per game and Keck was the second leader in scoring with 9.6 points a night on 76-for-171 (44 percent) shooting from the field. Keck also has a nice shooting touch, going 27 for 67 (40 percent) from 3-point range in 2019-20.
Kailey Page Kailey Page 5'10" | PF Fairview | 2022 State CO (Fairview)
Page had an opportunity to play along with one of the top scorers in Colorado in Izzy Munson Izzy Munson 5'9" | PG Fairview | 2020 CO (20.7 per game) last season. Now that Munson has graduation, the 5-foot-10 forward will be expected to shoulder more of the scoring load. Page shows the ability to push the pace off the bounce and with her ability to run and dribble in transition, she will be a tough player to stop this coming season. She was second on her team in points per game last season, averaging 10.8 a night, and also grabbed 8.2 rebounds per game. Page has great footwork and can knock down the mid-range shot, going 104 for 261 (40 percent) from the field last winter.
Audra Vine Audra Vine 5'4" | PG Horizon | 2022 State CO (Horizon)
Vine (5’3) has a high motor, which helps boost the energy for her team. She was Horizon’s second leading scorer in 2019-20 with 11.9 points per game and does a good job at the defensive end getting, her hands on a lot of steals. Vine also scored a season high in points early last season with 23 points against a good Arapahoe team, going 5 for 12 from the floor in that game. She does not shy away when it comes to scoring the ball and Vine has been steadily improving her game each year, which should continue this coming year.
